La Flûte traversière sur les 4 Saisons de VIVALDI est beaucoup plus originale que le violon. J'ai fait remarquer à Radio Classique la prouesse, la rapidité, la virtuosité de la Flûte sans reprendre le souffle.

This is exactly how I hear flute orchestra in my mind. All of the players are advanced players because otherwise the tempo and precision this work needs just can’t be accomplished! Awesome performance! I’m curious about exactly what the strings are, including how many of each? I see a harp,celli, and basses, I think -totally fine. Is there a keyboard? A conductor is so helpful, too, with group greater than about 8 flautists for precision. I’m also wondering if the soloist is amplified? [Not a criticism at all, I’m just curious].❤ I see C flutes and Bass flutes. Are any of the flautists playing Piccolo, Alto flute, or Contrabass flute?❤❤ Keep posting your performances. Thank you! Flute fan since age 8 here.❤ Flute ensemble devotée since March 2001, when I borrowed Dr Virginia Schultz-Johnson’s Bass Flute to play in the New Jersey Flute Choir Day that March. I’ve participated nearly every year since. This year, The NJ Flute Choir Day will be held at Caldwell College, NJ on March 26, 2023. The warm-up begins at 8am, with a performance in the late afternoon. It’s so fun! And you do NOT need to bring an ensemble with you. Rather, you complete the application, send in your money, are assigned to a group (with the option for those under age 26 to audition “up” by sending in an audition mp3, (possibly with a live audition for the most advanced group, Level 5). I’ll be there!❤❤❤
