Having Lived in Indonesia for 10 years it is heartening to see someone in the West prepare indomie properly. Now back in the UK...5 packs of Indomie go straight into my shopping trolley every week! Lovely stuff
Indomie noodles are super popular in Western Australia even being sold in servos. My hack is to add a little premium fish sauce to the noodles and they become heavenly. You get used to washing scissors 🤣
Someone I knew had turned me on to those Indomie noodles. This person used to get these noodles by the case. Which by the way, taste great all by themselves or with your favorite cooked, chopped meats, veggies, and the contents of the seasoning packs with the noodles. Even a fried or scrambled egg or two would work by adding a protein component to the tasty noodles! 😋♥️
Found them @ the Ranch Market in Anaheim back in 2008 they were giving samples been eating them ever since a little tough to find here on the central coast
Here in Kalimantan, they didn’t ship it with dried shallots and chilli sauce. But they ship the jumbo version with it so i go with 2 packs of jumbo version instead
Love this noodle. It's one of my favourites. It's a little spicy but the flavour is very unique, packs a punch and keeps me coming back, always. Enjoy!
Welcome to the Indomie Gang. I'm from the Philippines, but I still think Indomie Mi Goreng is the best instant fried noodles anywhere. And well done on the runny fried eggs. The yolk just perfectly tempers the mild heat from the Mi Goreng. I personally prefer soft boiled eggs though, with a runny center.
What Do you meant indomie can't become ramen I have secret ingredients for you information Indomie can become ramen(original variant) Put litle salt, put ketchup sauce, put litle warm water in your indomie, put soft egg in indomie(japan egg 1/2 end) Put fried onion, and put beef or odeng I hope your enjoy
Yes absolutely! From Chicago too 😊 we love those noodles my gosh my son the picky eater just devours them! Minus the hot sauce 😅 And yes to the junk drawer in the kitchen is a must in every household! loved the video
I usually make 2 of those packs for a meal and add chopped green onions and pieces of meat. $9 is really expensive. Here in Canada, it's $2.50 CDN for a 5pk.
I just tried these noodles today - my local H Mart had a 5-pack for $3.49 - and yeah, fried egg is the best. I've tried boiled eggs, egg flower, scrambled egg, but fry an egg or two and I mean hard-fried, and dump that on top and it's the best of them all.
No less than 2 packets. I like two 6min boiled eggs with mine, kimchi on the side and green onion chopped over the top at the end. Also if you don't drain the noodles but pull them out with tongs straight from the pot to your bowl some of that noodle water will make the seasoning/sauce coat all the noodles evenly. 10/10
Indomie is good, even for a guy who grew up with it and is supposed to be tired of it. By the way, you don’t need to add salt, that little seasoning packet is already full of salt.
Looks good, I think I have seen that in my local grocery store. I would not be adding any extra salt to the water or the noodles, they usually have way more sodium than you need in an entrie day.
Same. I have a junk drawer....and have no idea what all I actually have in there, lol. I just skim the top and the stuff at the bottom of the drawer has been there for at least 5 years.
Here are some other flavors to try!! - Hot & Spicy - Beef Rendang (this is not sold in stores anymore) -BBQ chicken (only some people like this) - Curry Chicken - Vegetable flavor (aka Soto Mie) ^ top flavors to try, in my opinion
I still eat Indomie every now and then. But Walmart has stopped selling the cup noodle version of Indomie so I am stuck with only the regular version of Indomie. Always relied on cup noodle Indomie to bring to work on 12 hour shifts.
Quick advice so apperantly im from Africa and in my part of country this is the commonest food there. The way to cook it rightly is to add all the ingredients to the noodles as its cooking it would make it taste even more btter and not too salty or have that much seasoning you would taste in it ( Its like my favorite food )
Fun facts: - We, Indonesians, usually eat 2 packets in 1 serving. - In Indonesia, we have at least 5 major brands of instant noodles with various flavors. That means a long set of shelves will be dedicated for Instant Noodles. My favorite is Mi Sedaap Salero Padang (beef rendang with green Padang's chili sauce) - To enhance the taste: add chopped scallions, fried eggs (sunny side ups, omelette or scrambled) and finally (for hot spicy lovers) chilli oil. - Fun recipe: boiled the noodles of 2 packs, drained, toss in a bowl, add 2 eggs, throw in scallions-season packs-chilli (if you want), mix well, oiled the pan with olive oil/butter/margarine (thinly), throw the mixture of noodles, fried until brownish and unified, serve and eat. It's an Indomie Goreng savory pancake for quick breakfast, lunch or dinner Have fun
Yeah...that is the best noodle in the world. Indomie is Indonesia Mie, and the creator ingredient mie goreng (fried noodle) Mrs Nunuk Nuraini has been passed away and thank to her have created the taste.
I still have one of those drawers for sure! When I moved to my apartment I brought a lamp table with me from my house that has the junk drawer and all the original junk in it lol! It's filled with stuff I don't need and could throw away but that drawer is nostalgic at this point lol!
Indonesian here, yeah, one package is not enough, but two is a little bit too much. Thank god here in Indonesia, Mie Goreng also comes in Jumbo package, which like about 1.5 of the regular package, and that is a sweet spot for me. And for me, the best pair is with dry fried egg: An egg fried in the boiling hot of oil, the oil needs to be really2 hot until it smoky, then you drop the egg in. Fry it until the edges of the egg is brown crispy, but the yolk still a little bit mushy.
I just recently bought a box of Mi Goreng (40 packages) at my local Costco for $19.99 Definetly worth the price if you like noodles and I do! And yes, I have multiple "junk" drawers in my kitchen and elsewhere. Love the vid and you just earned yourself another sub!!!
Usually warm up the oil /sauce packet to make it easier to mix. Mix the powder with the noodles right when you put it in the mixed sauce. The noods get too dry if you do it after. Add the fried onions on top. 2 packets at a time, 2 over easy eggs, 1 yolk gets poked and mixed with the noods. Trust me here, it taste diff if done in this order.
Hm for me I can go for 1-3 packs . But sometimes if I want to makes economical bcs runout the mie goreng stocks . I'm used 1 package mie goreng + 1-2 normal noodles who doesn't had seasonings flavour, idk it's selling out in western or not, but mostly in Asia there's always had normal noodles without seasoning flavour, it's more cheaper n a lot of size. . So with ratio 1:2 mie goreng seasoning flavour with 2 noodles, ofc the flavour will be lacks. . So I made my own flavour, Salt + pepper/black pepper choose urself + chicken/beef stock powder + onion n garlic n shallot (mince) or used powder one + sweet soy sauces + a lit bit of chilli sauces n a lit bit of ketchup + a lit bit of msg powder + if love spicy hot u can add chillies powder or chillies flakes . With that addition seasonings made by urself + original seasoning pack flavour from 1 mie goreng . Even with additional 2 pack noodles without flavours pack u can still get the super good flavours . N it's more cheaper like literally . Bcs 1 package plain noodles without flavours seasoning with the same price of 10 pack mie goreng, u get around 50pack of instant plain noodles. Well sometimes I can combining not used egg noodles type, instead using rice noodles type like vermicelli . But if I had a lot of stocks I'll used mie goreng for all . But for seasoning stuff like a spice, such as onion garlic shallot chillies pepper chicken stock beef stock powder garlic powder msg powder soy sauces sweet soy sauces ketchup or tomato sauces chillies sauces etc always had the stocks in kitchen bcs if we had them we can makes our own things by ourselves
the reason of the packaging is small is because ofc to met the demand of cheap food for everyone can enjoy. but another reason is, it is supposed to be eaten with other foods, adding eggs is for example, but you can also add it with steak, mashed potato ( not recommended ), Rice is extremely perfect (even guga food did it ) adding cheese, just everything that is savory is perfect with it
I am glad you have been exposed to the goodness of Mi-Goreng! I once had 5 packs of them when I was hung over, the next day was the worst experience ever
About to make some right now. Been eating them over 20 years. Ps I don't think its necessary to salt the water or even salt the noodles but just my opinion.
Love your content these instant noodles have been my favorite for 3 years now I use to always get Maruchan Noodles but these are like a gem thank you for your love for it🔥🔥
there are a few ways you could try the next time you cook this, 1. Take out the water after the noodles is 1/2 to 3/4 cooked, add all the seasonings except the fried shallot to the pan (with the cooked noodles) and turn on the heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes or until the bottom become golden and crispy. This is a way to add a little crunch in your noodles 2. Break the dried noodles into smaller pieces, cook 3/4 way or all the way, pour out the water leaving a little bit about 1/4 cup then add the eggs and all the seasonings. cook until it become porridge-like consistency. this is so good for a cold rainy day
Put a shot of Worcestershire and maybe some French’s fried onions in there. Beware there is no turning back after that though. but get the indomie mi gorenfg hot and spicy. It’s a very slightly different flavor profile but equally if not more delicious (and it’s really not very spicy, and you can control it via the added packets)
Dont think it needs the extra salt or pepper at all lol. Should add a spoon of the noodle water to the sauce/powder mix so it blends better. But def shouldn't have added spices until you tried it just as it is.
If the water is boiling hot and you use high heat then 1 minutes 45 seconds will give you the best texture of Indomie. Dude that is not even spicy at all my 5 years old daughter can handle that easy. 1 tip on the fridge you can get frozen oil seasoning so you can get all the onion oil. For small package 2 or 3, 1 is not enough for me. we have the same variant but jumbo version, 2 packs is nice (i think it is almost 3 packs of the regular one)
Thank you for review. ❤🎉 Indomie is one of the favorite instant noodle brands in my country, Indonesia. Fried noodles are one of the most delicious. You can try other flavors. And there are still many other brands that you can try as well.😊
soo here is something that maybe i will consider it "Danger" about Indo Mie MiGoreng. If you only make 1 Package, for some reason its not enough. but if you make 2 Packages, its a little bit to much. Well for me i usually make 2 Packages with Stir Fry Egg and put some extra Prawn Crackers on it. And for me that is my Childhood dish when i was in elementary School in Indonesia.
Untuk rasa yang lebih maximal . Kamu memasak mya 1 saja dengan api yang besar supaya tekstur mie nya lebih kenyal, dan campurkan bumbu dll ketika baru kamu tiriskan supaya tidak kering mie nya.
In Australia this is a staple pantry food. Everyone has it in their pantry. It lasts a long time and good for those emergency day when you don’t feel like eating anything heavy.
When I was finishing my 3-years-late thesis my ammunitions were Sumatran Sweet Black Coffee and 3 packs of Indomie. Powerful but not recommended for routine consumption if you have weak stomach.
I think that you should try Indomie that are sold in Indonesia. Bcs i think products that exported/manufactured abroad are already being toned down, flavor-wise
Moment of silence for everyone who never eat indomie goreng even once on their life.

Dont think it needs the extra salt or pepper at all lol. Should add a spoon of the noodle water to the sauce/powder mix so it blends better. But def shouldn't have added spices until you tried it just as it is.
Sean great reviews of my fav dried instant noodles 👍🏻
Appreciate you!!
In Indonesia only $1 for 5 packets
Thank you for review. ❤🎉
Indomie is one of the favorite instant noodle brands in my country, Indonesia. Fried noodles are one of the most delicious. You can try other flavors. And there are still many other brands that you can try as well.😊
Mie goreng/indomie indonesia🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
soo here is something that maybe i will consider it "Danger" about Indo Mie MiGoreng.
I tried that before it’s so good
Untuk rasa yang lebih maximal . Kamu memasak mya 1 saja dengan api yang besar supaya tekstur mie nya lebih kenyal, dan campurkan bumbu dll ketika baru kamu tiriskan supaya tidak kering mie nya.
My favorite noodle
Sipping semi-sweet hot tea after finishing Indomie Goreng is some extra moment of palate heaven.
You gotta leave just a little bit of water so the seasonings meld
In Australia this is a staple pantry food. Everyone has it in their pantry. It lasts a long time and good for those emergency day when you don’t feel like eating anything heavy.
Funfact: Indomie uses Australia wheat in their noodles.
When I was finishing my 3-years-late thesis my ammunitions were Sumatran Sweet Black Coffee and 3 packs of Indomie. Powerful but not recommended for routine consumption if you have weak stomach.
I’ve been eating these for over a decade. They use to come with coconut oil. The best hands down!!
Indomie in usa have different taste
I think that you should try Indomie that are sold in Indonesia. Bcs i think products that exported/manufactured abroad are already being toned down, flavor-wise
