Also a good idea to hang a winch blanket at the center point, it helps absorb the shock & recoil if or when a cable/rope breaks & as you know from our chats I'm an Aussie from the Bush so I get the excitement but as Al from the Skid factory says "Use Ya Brain" ha ha
They're a big car the ZA-ZB-ZC Fairlanes. My father has the rare ZB 6 cylinder with 3 speed manual Fairlane, Had it for 45 years it came from Clancy Ford in Bathurst. Needs a full resto but none the less its complete. This is a great find this one. Looks like the "Mafia Staff car" with all the bullet holes.
Oh wow, ZB Fairlane! Looks great for a bush car. I recall in one of your live streams you came across a NC Fairlane wreck that still had its 302 Windsor and trans. This drive line would be perfect for this car. Might be worth going and saving that motor and transmission before it's gone for good. Cheers, Gil

Hi Cj love your show ,hey something that i saw you do that made me cridge was winching up the fairlane with locked wheels and no lube eg water under them and you standing in direct line with the cable and you . just if cable let go you might have been a target .sorry for being a nanny but i do like the show ,cheers

I Used to be a towie mate….👍👍👍 you can get plastic slides to put under wheels that are locked. Makes it easier on your winch. 👍👍👍

Lovely luxobarge. Bucket seats were standard on a Fairlane 500. Had to be optioned for a Holden Brougham.

Use a winch blanket to slow down the cable jn the event of a break to stop it whipping about, great rescue, well done

Not sure why you didn’t spend the front pads out while the wheels were off, most times it’s the pads sized not the hub…
