It always impresses me, when artists have some sort of colour blindness... Making art is already hard enough for someone who can see the colours they're working with as different colours, but it must be so different if you can't... And this looks amazing. Yeah, there are some strange placements of colours, but it looks completely intentional and just great.
Yep! You're left relying solely on "lights vs darks", but then colours that are vibrate/neon, completely mess with that system and it just becomes a guessing game lol
This is amazing! I ended up showing my young daughter this video, when she is struggling with her art, she will get frustraited and just plain give up....knowing that you created this work of awesomness while still struggling with seeing the colour red was just the boost of confidence (inspiration?) she needed...shes her own toughest critic and I save a lot of her artwork (even the ones she trashes) so she can see the progress shes made Thank you for doing this video, it turned out amazing 💖
Aww!! That is magical! Thank you for sharing this. Definitely art is very difficult to love, with the control we have over it. But learning to let go of that control, really helps to enjoy the process :)
Stop selling yourself short, you are an amazing inspirational artist and we love seeing what you create. I haven’t touched art for 20 yrs now but you have made me purchase a colouring book, markers and pencils and now…I colour every week. So thank you for sharing your art with us.
Even with all your struggles this turned out great. You should go through all your markers making pieces like this in all the different color groups. Obviously there would be some overlap like colors that are blue-green would wind up in two pieces. I think the next one should be all black/gray. In some sense it might give a bit of range since there are neutral, warm and cool grays. Great to see you back at it. Can't wait to see what you do next.
Yes, yes we do want to see you use ALL of them at once!😂💕 Considering the outcome, I would have had no clue that you have trouble seeing redtones! This piece turned out amazing as usual😊
Red is a colour I'm always drawn to in my own work, either miniatures or colouring, I don't know why. You shouldn't fear, that looks amazing, colour blindness be damned!
After hearing you describe the difficulties you would encounter with seeing shades of red, I wasn't really sure how this one would turn out. But your creativeness and passion brought a pretty plain picture to life!! Great Job!!!
“This doesn’t seem so bad.” Man if I could do half as good as that, I’d feel amazing! You nailed it once again with this single color challenge. I am impressed with your execution in these, I wouldn’t even know where to start!
It turned out amazing! You’re so freaking talented and creative when it comes to amping up these basic line drawings. I especially love your detail work with clothing and armor. Fun fact, many famous artists struggled with being colorblind, your vulnerability is quite charming, but I think you should damn proud of what you where able to accomplish with the seemingly infinite amount of red shades.
I love doing what you did to the coloring book page. I buy 2 just so I can show the original to what I have added and changed. Really fun drawing exercise. Thanks for sharing 👍.
I've got the SAME color-blindness, and to see another artist - one I consider a professional one at that - put into words how I feel about reds and how difficult it can be to deal with it is just amazing. I think what you did looks amazing despite...being in red, but WOW! You're an inspiration! Thank you for posting this!!!
I'm so thankful to be able to be someone people can relate to :) Thank you for telling me. Means a lot and validates what I do when I struggle to continue if not for me then for others ! :) :) have a great day
@@ADCArtAttack You're an honest inspiration, relatable in multiple regards, and a fantastic artist to boot! Thank you for putting yourself out there - and for showing your struggles; I look forward to watching more of your videos when I have the time! Have a wonderful day! (Also, love that colouring book - the style is so much fun!)
Once again the end result is amazing. I do think the blue on was a little better but I feel it was easier (not only because you can’t distinguish the reds, but I feel there’s more different blues if that makes sense)
I see no mistakes. this is an extraordinary piece of art! Thank you for persevering. I value your vulnerability and willingnrss to model how to do hard things with a great attitude.. I've said it before and I'll say it again - you have a way of making art approachable in a way that gives me courage to continue in my own art journey. Blessings.
I love how you interpreted the background from absolutely nothing on that coloring page! Really cool and the red looks dope in the glass effect. Great job!
I feel your pain. I can’t distinguish between greens. I generally go by value and colour code/name for clues. I think you did really well honestly. Shows how good you value skills are to be able to do that.
Wonderful job on the reds. But I feel so bad for this one, and it must've been so difficult he ended up red in the face. Also I would love to see Arteza return in a Cheap Vs. Expensive Challenge
Considering your struggles with this piece, it looks incredible! My favourite part is the little reflection in the glass. It’s really striking. Honestly you did a brilliant job and should be proud.
I am super impressed! Without taking color blindness into account it is very impressive. When you add the knowledge that this is a hard color for you to see.... WOW, just WOW!!!
That artwork is incredible!! I love watching your technique colouring and your approach to art work. It has helped me improve my own so much. Thank you.
This turned out great. The background and foreground are distinct enough that everything doesn't just flow together, and you have lovely colour blends. I can understand not feeling sure about the piece when you can't "separate" the colours, but you have nothing to worry about. You did really well
I think the final piece is wonderful! It must have been incredibly challenging, but the red tones give the completed piece such an oppressive atmosphere - yet so dynamic because of the glints of paler tones. Absolutely worth taking the risk for! ADC, you're in good company! A lot of famous artists are either colour-blind or have colour processing issues. It wound up making their work very unique and ensured that they stood out from the other artists of their eras.
I have a degenerative corneal disease and I stoped doing photorealistic art in 2004. I never did too much color work. But I needed to learn some art therapy methods and coloring has helped. I feel like all my mistakes are just a little bit special because it shows struggle to create good color composition with loss of central visual acuity and visual distortion that I experience. I really appreciated this piece and your courage in confronting something that challenges the artists ego as much as a visual disability.
Between the colourblindness, and the colour choice, I can totally understand your apprehensions and concerns. They're unwarranted. You did a fantastic job. I love what you managed to do with it.
I think this ended up better than Deadpool. The variance in the different shades of red really helped this piece stand out in different places, while the other one just seemed... blue. I love it, bravo!
Dude, you are talented. Being color blind on top and you still made a work of art out of something that seems like it was out of your comfort. Awesome work.
That doesnt seem so bad? What are you talking about....that is AMAZING!!! This so motivates me!! Your shading and coloring blows everyone out of the water!!! I have searched and searched all over youtube for more coloring artists like this and NO ONE, I mean no one comes close to the masterpieces you create with these....
Dude this made me feel so much better about myself as an artist! I am actually legally blind but still have a good amount of my vision. I love todo marker illustrations but have a hard time with distinguishing colors, especially YELLOWS. So to see someone who dealt with my same situation when I go to make any art, and be able to create a MASTERPIECE, you have just inspired me to go draw something epic. Thank you for this, even though it was hard for you to do and post, know that you helped someone with their own art immensely!
I love the piece! It looks wonderful! I wouldn't ever have guessed you have trouble seeing red if you hadn't disclosed it at the beginning of the video.
I think you did an amazing job and though this challenge was difficult im proud of you for sticking it out. As someone once said, trust the process, and thats what you did and got an awesome result. Art is about challenging ourselves and though perhaps uncomfortable at first (with alot of frustration and self doubting) we often find ourselves being able to do things we never thought we could! As always keep being you and creating more amazing works :)
My 7 year old son has difficulty with seeing colors too, but he wants to be an artist. I showed him this and he stared with wide eyes and open mouth the whole time. Well done, mate. Don't put yourself down, you crushed it.
This looks amazing!!! The glass effect is really cool and the reflections were insane! It’s a fantastic piece and I think the fact you did it shows your incredible talent on a different perspective.
What I love about this is you took what is traditionally Black and Blue, and made it red.. so I am betting if you INVERT it it will be spot on. By the way what you do by adding to these drawings is SUPERB! You always take it too a great new level! The reflection and hands and added cape and all of it is just amazing!
Absolutely phenomenal art, and it is really nice to see someone be open and honest about there worries and still power through. Keep up the great work.
Never be afraid to put your work out there if you wish to do so even if the anxiety of it is hittin hard. Art is self expression don’t forget that ADC. Great job, I love it, take care of yourself buddy
Don't every be embarrassed about something you were born with. The fact that you are capable of creating such amazing works of art with a color "issue" makes you that more amazing of an artist. I too sometimes have a hard time picking the difference in some color spectrum. Specially when the color does not really match what the is depicted. There were a couple of videos of artists who got those Enchroma glasses and are unbelievable artist. They were even surprised by how good they actually are. And I thought I had a lot of markers but...GOD DAMN!
I'm going to be honest man cause I think you can handle it....YOU EFFING NAILED IT. I'd call it the Crimson Bat. This is phenomenal. I have such limited sight in one eye that I'm considered blind so my depth perception is screwy...for not knowing the colors you went on instinct and showed just how amazingly talented you are.
Yeah, my issues go into blue aswell, though more specific shades like true blue and royal blue. Around those I have a MAJOR issue with. But I never speak on it. Its just good to know the values and forget the colour specifics tbh
Absolutely love it, but even more so the artistic spin you put on it, that glass shards and the Jokers eyes glaring from the one shard. Love your work brother
Considering you can't see those colours, you made a piece that was actually pretty good. Most people would have catered to the colour scheme by picking a picture that usually have a lot of reds already when its filled in, but the fact that you took Batman which is usually black with some yellow and did it all in reds, pinks, and browns all in a red tone while not being able to see that colour clearly is amazing. Don't think of it as a hit to your ego, you did really well with the entirety of this piece. :)
What a testament to facing your fears and doing it anyways!! 👏 Absolutely amazing outcome, and way to look your colorblindness in the face and laugh, you're an inspiration dude!!
My favorite shade of red is purple. I think the piece came out very well. I am even more impressed since you can't see all shades of red. You did a great job.
You did an AMAZING job with what you had to work with! Just an idea for the future though; have you considered swatch labeling your markers? I did it for all my Ohuhus since the barrel colours oftentimes aren't the same as the actual colour contained inside the barrel. Swatch labeling is a bit time consuming, but it's super easy and actually kind of relaxing once you get into it. It's economical to do as well. Basically I took some plain white, matte labels I got at Dollar General (I think I paid $1 USD for 128 labels), coloured said labels and wrapped them around the barrels accordingly so I can see EXACTLY what colour I'm working with when I pick up a marker. It really, REALLY helps for building gradients!
I've never enjoyed Swatching.. I like the random "Oh gosh that's not the right colour" makes the work more random and enjoyable haha I'm weird like that
For someone who does not have the same issue with red as you do. I can say that you did a really good job. As someone with the issue you have, I can only imagine the strugle, but you killed it bro!
I know it's already been said but looking back on all the insanely good art (this included) and finding out you're color blind? I'm so glad you made this video. Your art inspires artists around the world and entertains artists and non-artists alike. Allowing us to know you literally see the world differently is an amazing statement for "no matter who you are, no matter what your physical challenges -- you can still make amazing art." Thanks ADC, you made my day. And stop working with those Ohuhus without a net. They're escape artists! (LOL)
Thank you so much for a lovely comment! HAHA!! Yeah them Ohuhus, after being careful at the start, they had to! It weren't even scripted which made it even better 😅
You're Color blind....... and yet still manage to put out the most Epic piece of art with the one color you have trouble seeing...... You sir are an artist. Great work as always.
Late to this video, but watched all the more recent ones and am a big fan. You’re awe-inspiring because I am colour blind with reds and greens and always felt it was a barrier. The fact that you are too and can do what you do is amazing and gives me hope. Keep it up!
Dude, this shows you are an absolute pro. Despite barely seeing the color, you created an aboslute masterpiece with this! I hope I can ever become that good with markers.
Your "pretty good job" is anyone else's masterpiece. Can't believe you created something so amazing while struggling with being able to distinguish all the colours, amazing work! 😍
For someone who has difficulty seeing particular colours it looks amazing you are an extremely talented artist and I don’t think you give yourself enough credit.
What's your favourite shade of RED? - Mines Blue.
Same
Mines orange
Blue
definitely blue.
Red is one of my least favorite colors (after magenta), but I do like the warm wine colored reds. But only in small quantities.

Absolutely amazing outcome, and way to look your colorblindness in the face and laugh, you're an inspiration dude!!
I think it looks great. I like how the inside of the cape is so dark. It makes the body of the suit pop out nicely. Well done!
I like the random "Oh gosh that's not the right colour" makes the work more random and enjoyable haha I'm weird like that
@@ADCArtAttack Ah, so it's a matter of enjoying the challenge! Mad respect!
Dope, simply dope. The fact that you struggled to see the actual color makes it more mind blowing, nice job my friend
For someone who does not have the same issue with red as you do. I can say that you did a really good job. As someone with the issue you have, I can only imagine the strugle, but you killed it bro!
They look so great that if you decide to do every main colors, I would be willing to buy and frame them to add to my hobby room.
Great job as always!
I think being open about difficulties and how you don't let them hold you back is a more powerful message than the struggle itself.
Wow 🤩 amazing transformation for the paper
This looks amazing!!! Great job! ❤❤
You're Color blind....... and yet still manage to put out the most Epic piece of art with the one color you have trouble seeing...... You sir are an artist. Great work as always.
I absolutely love it. Your humility makes these incredible pictures you do even more enjoyable.
I absolutely love this, the art work looks AH-MAZING and its great to see you face and overcome your challenges... Great job as always!!
Late to this video, but watched all the more recent ones and am a big fan. You’re awe-inspiring because I am colour blind with reds and greens and always felt it was a barrier. The fact that you are too and can do what you do is amazing and gives me hope. Keep it up!
Any shade is great . Red is my favorite color. My top 5 favorite artists on TH-cam!!
Dude, this shows you are an absolute pro. Despite barely seeing the color, you created an aboslute masterpiece with this! I hope I can ever become that good with markers.
You did awesome, especially since you have trouble telling the colours apart, there's nothing to be ashamed of ❣
Your "pretty good job" is anyone else's masterpiece. Can't believe you created something so amazing while struggling with being able to distinguish all the colours, amazing work! 😍
The result is fantastic!!! You really elevated the character!!
This is awesome. Bravo. I have the same issue, but with yellows/oranges. Keep up the good work, and patience! This was ace x
