Hi Natalee, Wow. It really is stunning! So high End! I love it.... It looks AMAZING! So beautiful. The STOCKINGS look Great and for 1.00 ea? Just a steal! ❤🤗🕯. I would love one of these. Tyfs! Love you friend!
I agree Natalee. This is my favorite DIY that you have shown so far. Thanks for sharing! I have an old Cricut and not sure if it will work any longer with the design center but very cute idea!👍
Designed to the Nines This is so far my favorite DIY lamp post tutorial. You outdid yourself on this. I wish we have a Dollar Tree here in Guam. I really like the stockings and everything about this video.
Your DIYs are the most clever, authentic, well thought-out dupes for high end decor I've seen ANYWHERE! I've never, ever been more grateful for discovering a channel! Thanks to your encouragement I have purchased several of my own personal power tools, and am learning to sew on my new sewing machine!!! Thank you SO MUCH NataLee!! ❤️💋😍
Thank you so much!! That was one of the nicest compliments ever. I am so glad you like my channel, but more importantly that you are discovering talents you never knew you had!!
My iPad crashed and hubby was nice and got me a new one, I didn’t know you loose everything you save on you tube but I finally found you,, love the lamplost
Seriously?!?! That lantern is gorgeous!!! I got one of those post at the thrift store for a dollar and had no idea what I was going to do with it... now I do! Just love tour channel and those stockings, I will be hunting those down for sure
I love your videos, I love Christmas decorations, amazing how ideas I get from videos that I see on Pinterest, or TH-cam, I been doing craft for many years, love it, I been retired for almost 11 yrs. and all my learning experiences for Christmas came from my parents, they used to do all the decorations, now they are gone, and I continue on my own, but looking at your video, this is amazing , you have great ideas, I love it, I will continue following you, thank you for sharing your experiences and taste on decorating, you're in a nice climate warm, we are in Massachusetts and it is very cold, expecting a snow storm, so my Sunday is going to be busy doing my Christmas decorations around the house, I love putting my decoration around the house.
Thank you for watching I really appreciate it. Yes we live in warm weather now, but I have had traditional winter weather for 97% of my life! Most recently moving from Maine a little over a year ago, so I understand! Hope you can snuggle in with some hot cocoa today. Stay warm! 💕
@@designedtothenines Thank you for responding , I live in Milton, Massachusetts, but many years ago visit on vacation Wells Beach in Maine, I love it, I was very young, went with my parents and my sisters, I haven't returned, but I love New England, this is my residence since I came from my beautiful island "Cuba" when I was 12 yrs old, many years ago, almost 50 yrs. next year, I love your decorations, I decorated my house, and use my mom's dolls collections, I love this time of the year, but you inspired me with your decoration, it is too late now, but I love the light post, next year I will do it, thank you again, and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, looking forward to more of your decorations videos.
What a fabulous tutorial. Your step by step instructions from having an idea, assembling items around the house, actually taking viewers with you as you consider what you will buy to performing the project is great. I watch diy videos on TH-cam but this one is a standout!! Love your ingenuity, problem solving skills and willingness to teach and share. Thank you sooooo much!
My flipping FAVORITE, I love love it! Being able to change it out through the seasons. The price blew me away. I had a birdhouse that was about half the size spindle in my 1st. place, and I put greenery around the base, and adding roof panels, made it mine, and I always wanted sum thing kinda similar, but this lamppost is my dream 😁
You're The Best because I have followed you on previous projects but when I keyed in for garden post for frin bedazzle the neighbors, Viola, algorithm got you covered and that makes me happy in Motown, again, thank you for genius, creative Beautiful mind
So totally brilliant! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that you made that lamp out of real wood. Dollar Tree materials are so flimsy and the projects I have seen, while cute designs, just look cheap. Thank you for providing this WONDERFUL, classy alternative. I will be making one with an alternation if adding a solar light to the lantern. Again, thank you!
What a great idea! I am hooked on this type of lantern post but they are so expensive. Thank you so much. You are a wonderful teacher and such a pleasant person. 😊
Brilliant as always! Thanks so much for the tip about getting the wood banisters from the “outdoor” section. That is amazing! The price difference is great, and then you still have the option to leave them more rustic or sand it up and paint it. Also, I’d like to say thanks for emPOWERing women to use and be comfortable with power tools!
I know this video is 3 years old but I came across it while looking to make my own and found this, it is really amazing and cheap, you did a wonderful job it does look great. No I have an idea on how to make my own, thank you.
You really rocked the lamp post project. I was thinking you could easily sell them (to locals, of course). The stocking idea is cute, too. I held my breath as you applied the black vinyl lettering. It helps that it’s glitter vinyl, but white, silver, or gold glitter vinyl might add just the right amount of contrast.
Having children, you always inevitably have bits and pieces of games. I've saved them in a re-purposed gallon pickle jar - everything from old Barbie accessories to games pieces to scrabble tiles to things that have come from cracker jacks or happy meals. Buttons, old drawer pulls, windows from an old dollhouse that i made over.... the jar is full or everything! I am constantly adding to and using things from it so it's never been completely full, but it has been well worth my effort. My children argue over who will inherit the Treasure Jar... LOL This project is awesome! I agree that the dollar tree projects are great but are not sturdy enough to survive year after year with children and pets and now, grandchildren. And this is one I can do on my own without having to schedule time with DH to help! Great job!!
I LOVE the Treasure Jar idea! Going to start one Today! And I'm sorry but those Dollar Tree diy's seem almost a waste of money! I don't know how some of the ones I've seen, last for a single holiday for a home with no kids or pets and much less when you put children and or pets in the picture! This one however, is not going anywhere anytime soon!
I love this lamp post!!! And thank you I didn't realize I could get these posts this large at Home Depot, I want to build a kitchen island: more like an old fashion table higher than a normal table. I've been searching thrift stores and estate sales for a high table, not finding them. And I do love my Cricut too. My daughter has the newest version and several of the heat presses.
@@designedtothenines Thank you again, there's a Lowes in a town not too far from me, about 30 miles, so not a problem. I didn't think about these two stores maybe having these posts as tall as they are.
I love the mysteries that you put into these videos anybody who would not finish watching one of your videos are are not very good crafters because you are excellent. You teach me so much I enjoy it I have the power
WOW! You are an amazing person. love your ideas. Lamp post was a genius& very affordable DYI. Yes, I got a few of the buffalo plaid santa hats they are perfect! We will hang our stockings from our fireplace, this year all of them will match. I am going to try & make us all new ones. Thanks again
BTW, I am subscribed to your channel and recently posted about how I have to move and give up my work shop but I can still sew, etc. As a renter, whenever I spend $ on "upgrades", I try to "make 'em so I can take 'em". I could be wrong and perhaps a million people have had my idea, but maybe not. It sold the first day I listed it and a lot of people were disappointed that I wouldn't be able to make more as I'm moving. I didn't find a way to share privately and I promise I'm not a gimmick or stalker, you inspire me and I would just love to see you improve my idea for other renters like me
Wow! Fantastic project! Thank you for sharing your talent, ideas and the materials that you used. The end result turned out beautifully. Super darling!
I was lucky to find those stockings, because there are none to be found now in the DT's I shop at. I made a lamp post years ago and I'm in the process of making another, both from garage sale finds. Hadn't thought about adding the dowels on the sides though, I need to remember that! Your finials look so perfect on yours! We have 2 fireplaces, but this is a great idea for hanging "for decor only" stockings on for the one we don't use to hang them on.
I loved the lamp post! And the stocking, wow!!!! I bought some that looked so close to that at HL and of course paid quite a bit more! Might need to check my DT and do a return. Bonus, I have a Cricut and easy press!
You’re DIY’S are always a hit, and keep us all wanting more! I want to hang out stockings this year from a mantle, I will make. A week ago Tuesday my son in law passed away. I was planning on making a post with coat hooks for my daughter for Christmas (I’ll be hanging two hooks on each side...there are many stockings on Christmas morning!). Cute Lamp idea, so many I missed last year! I love the cricut ironing thing you had, maybe for my birthday next month! Great idea with personalized stockings...
Absolutely gorgeous Natalee!! I love, love, love it! Not sure that I would have the appropriate place for it myself, but it is the best I've seen DIY'd yet! The stockings are gorgeous too! I wish my store would get them in...fingers crossed! I've had my Cricut for about 3 years now, and I LOVE it. It's so great to have...when I need a personalized item, like a tshirt, just takes a few minutes and I have one done! I always keep my HTV stocked in a variety of colors just in case and my heat press ready to turn on. Have fun!! Hugs!!
Hi this is the first time I see you're video. I was just looking to see what I can find something new to make for this Christmas decor. And here I found your video. Thank's for sharing! I will try it out. 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice if you did this yo can do a fireplace. Stockings really added to project. When in large room you understand placement and craft projects height with size. Really high end yet it's beautiful.
I'm going to see if I can find the stockings. I have the older version of the cucrit. But after watch so many DIY videos. I'd love to have one. The lamp post will probably be my next project.
A friend just turned me on to your channel and I have been binge watching for three days. You do beautiful work, and have a wonderful personality. I live in Florida too, I live a few miles from the beach near Cocoa Beach.
Wow #Natalee I love the lamp post and those stockings!!! Great job as ALWAYS!!!! I always like the DIY'S to be versatile that can be high end to extra rustic Farmhouse! TFS!! I've always wanted a fireplace and mantel also...but I guess I'll have to build one if I'm ever gonna get one!!
