    Can someone in their 40’s 50’s learn to master pole dancing?

    • @AnnaDuryea
      @AnnaDuryea  4 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Yes for sure! I know lots of ladies in their 40's and 50's that are amazing at pole!

    • @rdpierluisi
      @rdpierluisi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Absolutely, so long as you have been cleared by your physician to follow a fitness routine that involves bodyweight lifting. "Mastery" truly depends on your flexibility and strength level, which applies to any age, for the level that you are training. I am in my 50's and reached Level 7 (at which point I needed to be able to do a split on the pole and I can't) before I quit the upper level training and am now going to teach beginner pole. It's a workout for sure! Pole fitness embraces all body types--there are moves that are going to look better on the super-slim fit people (because guys to pole too, look up Chinese pole acrobatics) and moves that require someone with some juiciness on them to make that particular move look it's best.

    • @tinawhite9810
      @tinawhite9810 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure ! Age is only a number .

      @tinawhite9810 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rdpierluisi good pointers! I’ve thought about getting into it . Plus it’s a good way to get a work out 💪. I was on a drill team yrs ago & it was hard work . But it instilled a solid work ethic. I’d say a person can do anything if you set your mind to it . & work at it . Over time . If a person wants to get into pole dancing it’s best to learn from a professional that’s been doing it . It’s a good work out as well ! & paying attention helps . For beginners there’s bumps at first . But you learn from them as you move forward. It’s not the end of the road .

      100% yes! I’m 40! And I have older friends that are amazing at pole even though they only started a couple years ago. You’ll love it! 😉

      Lol Yeaa. I’m more oily throughout the day.

    • @AnnaDuryea
      @AnnaDuryea  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on the season I tend to have quite dry skin so I need all the moisture. But showering or not is dependent on your skin’s dewiness or climate in your area. 😊

    No no shower that sounds concerning to me. I take my first class this weekend and I live in Arizona. It's over 100° every day.

    • @AnnaDuryea
      @AnnaDuryea  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can definitely shower! If you’re in warmer climates showering shouldn’t affect grip as your skin should be more dewy compared to winter or cooler areas. Or if need just use shaving gel/foam for body grip and dry hands etc for hands. Have fun with your first class!! ☺️

    There are several components to how to belly dance. One plan I discovered which successfully combines these is the gabs mover crusher (check it out on google) without a doubt the most helpful guide that I have ever heard of.Check out the super information .
