A different warehouse and potentially site (if there's a VAT change between the physical locations) where advanced warehousing is disabled would indeed be the only way as far as I'm aware.
Hi. while working on this scenario, when I am trying to post the Product receipt for the PO am getting an error saying "no cost rollup is found for this item. activate the item cost price." Do we need any other settings along with setting up the price for the new product?

You have not followed the tutorial from beginning , you are trying to use a advance warehouse enabled item I believe hence the error

Navigate to Inventory Management > setup > costing >Costing versions. select costing version and click Activate.
