Still have my copy! Always wish MicroSofr worked w/Majesco so that 'Raze's Hell' became backwards-compatible on their modern consoles; especially considering other Majesco games are. If nothing more, the fact that 'Raze's Hell' is an Original Xbox exclusive should be reason enough to preserve forever.
I watched almost the whole live stream. I was always so curious how the multiplayer was in this game, but didn't have the internet back in the day to try it out. It actually looks like a great time when you've got the right amount of players per mode. I'm very happy you covered this game. So cool to see a game like this be populated online
I like your new format of the final thoughts and going through the game in depth I know in 18 minute video probably takes forever to edit but this is a very enjoyable watch and hearing what you rank at above and below It is also very interesting
Hell yeah! I'm glad you managed to finally come around to reviewing this one. It looked like you guys were having fun during the multiplayer night with Razes Hell so I was just waiting for you to drop the full on review. Though far from perfect, and I agree with your criticisms, I would definitely call this game a hidden gem. It's an enjoyable budget title that nobody remembers except those, like me, who collect heavily in into the Xbox ecosystem or straight up weirdos... also like me LOL. 😂👍 I am happy to see that you enjoyed your time with this game despite its flaws. I can understand some of the low ratings that got when it first came out but I always stand by the idea that retro games have the opportunity to get better as they get older. Razes Hell, to me, is one of those games and deserves to be looked at by more people looking for fun and unique games on the Xbox.
I feel you on games being more appreciated through time. It's easy to compare it to it's contemporaries when it's new, but going back it's easier to look at it on its own.
Man I remember renting this from a local place in my childhood. I also remember having liked the game a lot (being in my teens in the 2000's helped me to like the edgy humor). Though I always remembered the game's ascetic even though I could never quite place a name to the memory. And the gameplay was a perfectly serviceable shooter if not the most memorable. Still remembered the game fondly for a rental I never owned. And now I can come back to this video if I ever want to scratch that nostalgia itch. Well done!
This was released during the time when most retailers were winding down their OG Xbox sections in favour of the X360, NDS and the Wii. It didn't sell particularly well, nor was it advertised prominently. It sold that badly that Majesco, the games' publisher, cancelled a large chunk of upcoming console releases for X360 and PS3. Particularly the X360 game 'Demonik' which looked very interesting. I still have this game from when I got it cheap, but haven't played it yet. It's definitely one of those titles that kinda bleed into the back catalogue of the OG Xbox, due to its obscurity and weird boxart.
Im suprised your only takeaway from the plot is that its industralization vs nature withouth the clearly imperialistic themes and the fact that they were making fun of the iraq war and the war on terror with the newscasters being the most prominent example of this. But regardless the overall tone of the cute charachters in the story being the monsters , in comparison to the actual monster alien like charachter that is just ripping them apart is still always amusing and visually interesting. Also one of the few videos on this game that actually managed to give the MP a try which is interesting. Also i wasnt aware of the ziggurat purchase of the IP and hopefully they will pull what Nightdive has and release some classics that deserve a second chance
this game has a similar energy as the ratchet and clank games on the ps2, them both being third person shooters in a cutesy world with humor about industrialization and capitalism. as a ratchet fan I def will be on the lookout for a copy of raze's hell
This one didn't vibe with me at the time - I think I played the demo somewhere - but I gave it another shot on my modded Xbox last year and I really enjoyed it. There's something original Xbox third person shooters that messed with me, man. I had the same reaction to the excellent Stranger's Wrath and Metal Arms: Glitch in the System; didn't click with it at first, but loved it when I gave it a chance. They really don't make 'em like this anymore; more of a balls-to-the-wall run 'n' gun style versus that cover-based, stop-and-pop Gears of War-style that dominated on the seventh generation hardware... and eventually now where there really aren't that many third person shooters at all, but if they do get made, they're probably live service looter shooters of some kind, _*sigh_ Ziggurat is a weird company; I would love to see a modern re-release of this despite the lack of financial sense that probably makes, but like... they acquired the rights to Slave Zero and instead of remastering that, just made a janky/bad sidescrolling prequel in Slave Zero X. So who knows what they want to do with this thing. I am happy to hear that Raze's Hell got scooped up with Majesco's other games though. I'll cross my fingers.
I'm a Metal Arms fan and not even I had heard of this game until your stream. Thanks for showing us even more unsung greats of a great era of gaming

Never heard of this one. You are good at presenting the obscure games.
Thanks! I like making sure every game gets its time to shine.
Happy to see you cover this, it’s a fairly forgotten OG Xbox exclusive, with a fairly interesting concept
I wish more games had bonus content like that Golf game
100% agree
Thank you for this review. Im that 1 person who was looking to it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I really appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

Yoooo I still have my co.plete copy and I have been playing it again past few days. This is so awesome 👌
If a typical action game hero did battle against evil Teletubbies:

Thank you for taking about this game,Can you do Advent Rising?
Thank you for watching! I did that one a little bit ago if you are interested.
@ thanks for telling me man.

A fitting recommendation for the summer months.
Jaws: Unleashed
Good recommendation. I haven't played that in a while.
I had this as a kid and somehow forgot it was a shooter lol. Remember it as swords and shit
It's funny how that happens sometimes.
I’ve actually always seen this around and wanted to give it a try. Saw a copy at my local shop and will now have to go back and pick it up 😁

I think I've become aware of the name since, but I don't recall ever seeing a copy on shelves, new, or pre-owned, during the Xbox's life.
This looks like the game they make at the end of "grandmas boy"
Hahaha, turns out I wasn't the only one thinking that!
Fun fact: the title of the game is supposed to be a play on the words "Racist Hell", which is fitting considering the plot.
This game really reminds me of a certain violent animated web series .
I didn't even think of the Happy Tree Friends comparison!
I played a match a few months ago and it was fun indeed. It's sad I wish more people would play more often in fact just play on insignia in general.
Yeah totally agree!

He’ll yea you should do WHACKED next
14:10 Groot?
Has anyone ever told you your voice sounds similar to Lazlow of Chatterbox FM?
I've heard a lot of comparisons, but not that one lol. I'll take it as a compliment!
@@campxbox good it wasn't meant to be an insult, just an observation
Lazlow voice is wackier
@ oh yeah fur sure
Just realized now that Raze's Hell is a play on words. LOL
jsrf ost !?
15:20 basically the second moral of the story besides save the environment
Does this mean that your live content might be a hint of your next review?🤔
Oh 100% lol
I heard that night dive studios owns the rights to this game right now. Maybe they’ll give it a remaster!
I guess I was one of those few thousand to buy this game on release. Sorry to those devs though!
This looks like a nice hidden gem. Was it never made BC on current gen Xbox's?
Nope just on the 360
❤❤❤
Supports 480p. Doesn't every Xbox game support 480p?
Yeah all, but 20 and you can force 480p if you have a modded console lol, but I still like to say it.
Crap I gotta get this
So basically Conkers rip off with the war mode...
kewtopia is basically israel. except their not cute
