I get what you're saying, but now I think they've gone too far the other way and make him blind to their faults. I guess it's supposed to come across as him overcompensating for his past failures as a father, but it really just makes him look stupid. I recently started watching episodes from 2019 (when Hope and Liam are told Beth is dead) and am working my way up to the present. For that whole storyline, Ridge looked like an idiot. I mean, at one point he finds out that his son was responsible for someone accidently driving their car over a cliff and that he leaves the person their to die rather than calling for an ambulance. In addition to that, he keeps secret a horrible crime that could have spared a lot of people a lot of pain. Yet for these "mistakes," all Thomas needs is the love and support of his family to get him through? Oh please! At that point his son is an accessory after the fact for the baby-stealing secret and responsible for recklessly endangering someone's life in addition to manipulating and threatening people if they don't do what he wants. That character deserves at least a 9 year jail sentence. But to Ridge, nope, his boy doesn't deserve jail time or even a long stay in a mental facility. Why? "Because he's a Forrester." RIDICULOUSNESS! If it were up to me, Thomas would be under the jail.

The good old days when the writing was good, the plot lines were addictive, good acting was important, chemistry between the actors was off the charts and Thomas hasn’t been suffering from ‘mental illness’ .... most importantly, Hopeless had actual facial expressions and was watchable !!
The writing is better than it is now, but by this point it was already declining. Ridge became a Logan prop and Brooke was constantly winning when she didn’t deserve it. Plus, Taylor almost always got the short end of the stick around this time. Plus, this was the season where LOPE v STEAM took over the show. Regardless, I still respect your opinion.

The good old days when the writing was good, the plot lines were addictive, good acting was important, chemistry between the actors was off the charts and Thomas hasn’t been suffering from ‘mental illness’ .... most importantly, Hopeless had actual facial expressions and was watchable !!
The writing is better than it is now, but by this point it was already declining. Ridge became a Logan prop and Brooke was constantly winning when she didn’t deserve it. Plus, Taylor almost always got the short end of the stick around this time. Plus, this was the season where LOPE v STEAM took over the show. Regardless, I still respect your opinion.

I can't stand what Liam's doing.when he says and shows how much he cares and loves hope he shouldn't be letting Steffi walk to him and kissing him even though hi is engaged to hope that is basically called cheating and steffy needs to accept that and accept the consequences. And Liam's dad needs to accept that it's Liam's choice in life what he wants not what his dad wants. And Bill shouldn't be hating and disliking hope. I know that steffy and hope are different but hope is different and special from all the other girls. And steffy can't even take it and just approve that Liam and hope should be married by now but it's Stephie that won't let them. Because steffy is just a two year old kid that is jealous.

I'm not sure why everyone chooses to see Ridge's devotion to Hope as a bad thing . He raised her as his own , loved her like a father should love a child . How is him being a father/father figure to Hope anything but good ? When so many people out there have horrible step parents . (Albeit , I know this is just a soap opera) As for Hope being "arrogant" , she wasn't , she was happy and in love with her fiancé . If anything Steffy kissing Liam was very divisive and retaliative , as though it's Hope's fault that Liam chose her , continuously gas lighting her .
