Watching Muselk play TF2 in 2018 is like one of those action movies with the special forces guy who's been retired for years but has to come out of retirement for one last mission and is forced to adapt to how much war has changed over the years.

I posted this comment on another thread, but I think it applies here so I hope you don't mind the copy pasta: I think it makes perfect sense why he's uploading this here instead of his "main". The Muselk channel is pretty much exclusively fortnite now, cuz he needs to make that $$$. If he uploaded this vid there, a) he won't get as many views b) his target audience (younger kids who watch fortnite) will throw a hissyfit, just like what happened when he switched from Tf2 to OW, and from OW to Fortnite. c) People that already know his main channel is shit aren't subbed to him anymore (aka people like me), so they sub to his second channel to not have to filter out the sub par content for vids like this. (Imagine subbing for a channel that you don't like anymore, only waiting for the occasional vids you do like that he makes. Kinda stupid.) Look man Muselk kinda dug a grave for himself in his main channel, and he knows that. He has to appease his primary audience by playing the games they want him to play (for the $$$). His second channel is stuff he likes putting out for fun. Away from the fortnite kids. Away from having to make as much $$$. And another thing, Muselk doesn't owe his fans shit. It still boggles my mind why people feel attached to youtubers like that. Did I feel disappointed that he switched from Tf2 to OW? Hell yes, I think his content suffered for it. I think it REALLY went down hill when he started doing exclusive fortnite vids, but hey he makes so much $$$ now I respect that he found the formula. Addressing your comment about him "lying" to the tf2 fans, you gotta give him props for trying. For like the first two weeks he did do exactly that, but by then Muselk was already feeling burnt out, which is completely reasonable. Committing 3 years of your youtube life to exclusive tf2 content - I'd probably feel burnt out too by that time. There's no point making a tf2 video if he isn't enjoying it, or if he feels like he has to so old fans feel satisfied. These are prime reasons NOT to do a video, actually. The content creator wouldn't enjoy making it, the newer fans wouldn't watch it, and the old fans would complain that it isn't like his "old self", because he's burnt out and you can't fake fun. If you followed his main channel, you could see that EXACT thing happening with OW just as he was transitioning to Fortnite. He burnt out with OW too, with his content getting extremely stale. You remember when he and Bazz and the crew would just act stupid and randomly shout for views? Yeah, he was so burnt out by then, but he gotta hit that daily upload schedule. But again, we shouldn't bash the guy for playing the games he wants to play. At the end of the day, Muselk is a person making videos about video games. We aren't paying for his service, we weren't getting "ripped off" because his quality dropped over the years, and even if we feel like he "betrayed" us by switching to other games other than Tf2, he really didn't. It's a common psychological fallacy to associate a part of yourself to things we love. It's the same reason why when bands start experimenting with new sounds, the OG fans have a higher tendency to think their older stuff sounds way better. In this case, replace the band with Muselk. I hope that these reasons explain why he puts this content on his second channel and why everyone's better for it. Okey bai.

I posted this comment on another thread, but I think it applies here so I hope you don't mind the copy pasta:
I think it makes perfect sense why he's uploading this here instead of his "main". The Muselk channel is pretty much exclusively fortnite now, cuz he needs to make that $$$. If he uploaded this vid there,
a) he won't get as many views
b) his target audience (younger kids who watch fortnite) will throw a hissyfit, just like what happened when he switched from Tf2 to OW, and from OW to Fortnite.
c) People that already know his main channel is shit aren't subbed to him anymore (aka people like me), so they sub to his second channel to not have to filter out the sub par content for vids like this. (Imagine subbing for a channel that you don't like anymore, only waiting for the occasional vids you do like that he makes. Kinda stupid.)
Look man Muselk kinda dug a grave for himself in his main channel, and he knows that. He has to appease his primary audience by playing the games they want him to play (for the $$$).
His second channel is stuff he likes putting out for fun. Away from the fortnite kids. Away from having to make as much $$$.
And another thing, Muselk doesn't owe his fans shit. It still boggles my mind why people feel attached to youtubers like that. Did I feel disappointed that he switched from Tf2 to OW? Hell yes, I think his content suffered for it.
I think it REALLY went down hill when he started doing exclusive fortnite vids, but hey he makes so much $$$ now I respect that he found the formula.
Addressing your comment about him "lying" to the tf2 fans, you gotta give him props for trying. For like the first two weeks he did do exactly that, but by then Muselk was already feeling burnt out, which is completely reasonable. Committing 3 years of your youtube life to exclusive tf2 content - I'd probably feel burnt out too by that time. There's no point making a tf2 video if he isn't enjoying it, or if he feels like he has to so old fans feel satisfied. These are prime reasons NOT to do a video, actually. The content creator wouldn't enjoy making it, the newer fans wouldn't watch it, and the old fans would complain that it isn't like his "old self", because he's burnt out and you can't fake fun.
If you followed his main channel, you could see that EXACT thing happening with OW just as he was transitioning to Fortnite. He burnt out with OW too, with his content getting extremely stale. You remember when he and Bazz and the crew would just act stupid and randomly shout for views? Yeah, he was so burnt out by then, but he gotta hit that daily upload schedule.
But again, we shouldn't bash the guy for playing the games he wants to play. At the end of the day, Muselk is a person making videos about video games. We aren't paying for his service, we weren't getting "ripped off" because his quality dropped over the years, and even if we feel like he "betrayed" us by switching to other games other than Tf2, he really didn't. It's a common psychological fallacy to associate a part of yourself to things we love. It's the same reason why when bands start experimenting with new sounds, the OG fans have a higher tendency to think their older stuff sounds way better. In this case, replace the band with Muselk.
I hope that these reasons explain why he puts this content on his second channel and why everyone's better for it.
