How To Use Operate a Micro Mini Digger Excavator

- Hi Betas! In this video I show you the basic operations of a micro/mini digger/excavator. I had a garden project that I figured I would save time (and my back!) if I used a digger rather than a spade. I had never sat in one before but the good man from Hirebase ran me through the operations and then I cracked on! Well worth the hire cost in terms of time saving, back-saving, and enjoyment! I hope you enjoy the video - please like, comment, share and subscribe to help other betas out there too!
Thank you for making the video short and simple👍
thanks mate. Looks like a load of fun.
Life saver! Rented one last minute for the weekend then I realised I have never used a digger!
Haha! You're welcome and glad you found useful!
Did u get on ok?
Must have hit a pipe

Thank you so much for this, you made my digger driving so simple.
Keep up the good work - new sub :)

Yes, I know that one
Great stuff and glad you found useful!
Hi, big thanks for your introduction, I’m hiring the 0.8 tonne, Kubota in July this year, for an L shaped patio, for a re-lay, my patio is like a ski slope right now, and needs to be flat……happy digging. Alex.
Thanks alot , it is so nicely explained. Regards
Emm.

No idea why I'm here, I don't have a digger but I enjoyed your video 😂
Haha - Rachel, I sometimes wonder what I'm watching when I find myself sucked into random videos on TH-cam!
the red lever stops the cab from being able to swing to secure transport and the lever at the bottom makes the tracks extract and retract :)
Hi Harvey, you're a star as I wondered what that was for!
Got a job Interview on Thursday. Gaj asked on phone you used one rectly 🤷♀️
Couldn't hear (wind noise) or see (out of camera frame) the control for the blade... what was it???
Sorry about the sound quality Damaja - I need to grab myself a mic! At 1min 55secs I show the control for the blade - it's the gear stick on the far right of the cab that lifts it up and down.

Do you need any license etc. to be able to hire one?
They didn't ask for one here where I live in England - and I only have a car license. Might be worth checking if you need to be over 18 or 21, etc
I rented one of these during lockdown. They just left in inside my gate and vanished 😂. I had to figure it out myself. It took a couple of hours to get the hang of it but it took a day plus to operate it nice and smoothly. It would take very little to knock up a simulator that connected to a laptop they could give you a couple of days before the machine arrived. It would save a lot of time and money.
Oh thanks! It looked way more difficult from the outside.
After your explanation I'm sure I'll rent one! 👍🏻
You're welcome and glad you found useful!
Thanks for this, I am familiarising myself with a mini excavator as I have one turning up this weekend, great to get to know the controls beforehand, thanks again for sharing!😊
What are the rental costs of this like per day?
What size digger are you driving?
"Kubuta" lol
Indeed! Apologies!
Great mate how do u change the bucket
You lay the arm down, then you essentially "hook" the bucket on. Really good point though, if I hire another digger at any point I'll do a video to show this! Thank you!
wheres the digging
I have another video showing laying a concrete base that shows the digger in action!
Many thanks, just hired one for the weekend .
Hi Todd, great to hear and hope you had fun!

how much did this cost to hire and for how long?
You can expect to pay around £200-300 for a weeks hire.
@@benw7601 F that, i can expect to do it myself with a shovel, Fu*k that seriously, you must be one sad mad lost soul to do that, have a look in the mirror you internet troll.
@@LMAO-ef3ip calm down Jesus you asked the question he answered
@@LMAO-ef3ip try doing all that with a shovel, you'll be stuck on the digging part of a garden job for about 2 months 🤣 stop being a tight bastard
@@philhead1951 I am going to do the digging with a shovel, we arent all little girls like you. A real man like me has no problem
