@@Cortesevasiverecreating the angles and arches on the watch that were destroyed isn't artistic? That takes imagination, dexterity, precision, patience and endurance. Sounds like art to me.
The box restoration just blew my mind...not only that you did it for the customer (I've never seen that before) but also that you did it so beautifully! Kudos to you Sir, amazing work.
How to heap any more praise on this gifted man. The complication of the watch is mind boggling, the skill to restore it is amazing. To cap it all the guy is modest, has time for his family and makes great videos at the same time. This is the kind of content that stands head and shoulders over the dross that clogs TH-cam.
If everyone worked at the same level as you, the world would be closer to perfection.

That movement is almost comically complicated but the result is magnificent. The case restorations always blow my mind the most. The way you take them from "Found this in a ditch" to basically new with exacting devotion to details is magical.
Reading the comments below I realize I'm not alone in thinking you're an artist as well as a watch restorer! So much talent, and knowledge went into this refurb, great result, the watch looks fabulous.
What I utterly adore about this video, is the comms between father and son, with the funny little jibes. Just brilliant 😂

Wow. Just wow. I see a lot of restoration people take watches that look sad and dirty and then just get them mechanically working but leave them decrepit looking and say they’ve given them a new life. *THIS* is a new life! I love seeing things restored to their original glory because they’re something we’ll never get to see again as they were unless someone like you does this. This thing is beautiful and it would be a shame for it to not get to be fully appreciated like it was new. I’m sure this comment will get lost in the sea of comments, but well done sir.

Exactly my thoughts when I watched this video. The restoration was incredible and witnessing these things fully restored is like traveling back in time. Simply incredible!
I'm a very mechanically oriented guy, yet this is truly incredible. The design, engineering, fabrication of the parts, and the ridiculous precision of those parts and perfect assembly and function, just amazes me everytime I view one of these.
I want to thank you for all you do!!! You are one of the few voices of sanity and then sprinkled with your humor. And the voice of "Trouble" instantly makes me smile! You are a blessed man with a blessed family!!! Then there is the whole ASMR side of what you do. I find it very relaxing to watch you work your magic.
That's super impressive your skills are magnificent even the restoration on the box was bloody amazing, this was better than watching a movie, when you started to take that watch apart and showed us just how many parts the was, Jesus it was like mission impossible, incredible 👏🏼

Wow, how on earth can somebody engineer such a precise tiny object, and your restoration of it is simply masterful - to see it so beautiful again is satisfying.
I find it quite mind-blowing to consider the feat of engineering and design that goes in to making a watch, especially one of this caliber. Then to observe the skills of the watchmaker, servicing such a marvel of design. Sometimes, TH-cam gets it right in its recommendations. Thanks for sharing your work.
I enjoy the fact you allow your children to take part in your craft. Also the more technical the better. I enjoy learning how to fix watches.

Just finished watching this amazing video.having a mechanic father,and a mechanic brother,both disassembling and reconditioning car engines in the late 50s and 1960s,I do have appreciation of the dedications and experiences of folks like you.well done.

Sometimes, when I can't sleep, I watch one of your videos and it calms my mind and switches off the thousands of random thoughts enough for me to sleep. This is not to say that your work is boring. One of the best restoration and complex movements I have ever seen.
My DAd went to watchmakers school in the mid 19404's after teh war and had his own jewelry shop for 20 years. I saw all of these tools and never saw him work on watches. Your artistry, skill, attention to detail, and careful restoration bring me closer to understanding what my Father loved about working with watches; thanks.

Well done sir! I have never seen this, that someone can disassemble and reassemble such a complicated watch so neatly and with great memory. I have a Siemaster Ocean 600 automatic, and I think it's all similar, so I sincerely admire you from the bottom of my heart, that you can remember all this, and put it together so neatly and conscientiously. One of the best restorations I've ever seen! The only problem with this video is that, after showing how complicated the movement is, we didn't get to see the chronograph used in anger 😞
