Bought for myself. The same twicy drumpads, also velocity of this keyboard is not so wide-ranged. One of the keys gives occasionally 127% of pressure. But I took this one to teach and i still satisfied.

Nice review. I think the pads "double trigger problem" could be fixed with a firmware update form Alesis. Please let me know if that helps (as I want to buy this controller too, but faulty pads would be a deal breaker for me) :-)
Hey, I'm a beginner and I recently bought Alesis Q49. I'm having trouble adjusting with velocity keys, I'm not able to play smooth, some loud notes just jumps in between. Is this how velocity keys are? Am I experiencing this because I'm a beginner? I can return the keyboard if this is the issue with this keyboard. Please suggest

you can change the velocity for the pads to 1 because it shipped out with the velocity at 4.
i think you should make some piano instrumental on youtube. cuz the way you touch the toots is crazy love it!

You can download editor from Alesis and change velocity curve - standard settings are not confortable
