Det mystiska men ofta glada ljudet från denna grupp kommer alltid att påminna mig om norra världen. PL SVE 🇵🇱🇸🇪🇵🇱

Rough translation [I learned some Danish from my mother, so I wouldn't say this is authoritative]
There came two maidens to the king's castle
      Two roses and noble flowers
They had been abducted when they were young
      From England we have come
And the maidens before the queen stood
And were raised with all the small servant-maids for a year [this line makes little sense to me, I may have translated it wrong. My apologies.]
'And here I have a gilded weave
Say, can you weave that weave down?' [Unsure about the meaning of 'ned'/'down' here]
The eldest sat down at the loom
The youngest she stepped on the treadles in the shaft [This might not be accurate, I don't know much about looms, the upshot is they are weaving]
The first thing she wove into the weave
There she wove the sky, there she wove the earth
The next thing she wove into the weave
There she wove the sun and the clear moon
The third thing she wove into the weave
There she wove a sister, there she wove a brother
The fourth thing she wove into the weave
There she wove a father, there she wove a mother
Then the queen stood in front of them on the floor
'A fairer weave I never saw'
'The eldest shall take my keys and rings
The youngest shall take my son as her husband'
'It is not the custom in our land,
That a sister should take her brother to be her husband'
There was gladness in the king's castle
      Two roses and noble flowers
When the mother and her daughters felt these things
From the witch's mountain we have come
From the witch's mountain we have come
From the witch's mountain we have come
