  • What is the difference between Thermoelectric Cooler and Thermoelectric Generator. Both work based on thermoelectric effect. TEC works based on Peltier Effect and TEG works based on Seebeck Effect. You can find detail description in this video. TECs are used to build electric coolers and mini fridges. TEGs are used build mini power generators such as phone/USB chargers. If you like this video, kindly subscribe and share pls.

    This is actually going to help out a lot with me trying to cool off something that's surrounded by heat

    Could either of these produce enough heat on one side to boil water in a hho generator? And if so, which one?

    Super well presented, but: 4,6V is very impressive for a single little candle and, I guess, 1 single teg in the house. What is the cooling system on it?

      Hi Lulu, There is a big heat sink at the back in vertical position in order to utilize natural airflow through the heat sink as improved ventilation system. It's actually an amazing engineering. For more information, there are two video links in this video description box. Thanks.

    Bro, how did you got 4.5v as output when using in that table lamp bro, did you use a step up transformer or something like that?

    • @SKILFULLIFE
      @SKILFULLIFE  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the temperature difference between cold and hot side of the TEG. More difference gives more voltage.

    How many TEGs did you use in the thermoelectric table lamp and how did you connect them

    Why tegs are small in size. Can we make big tegs

      TEG seem to work the best when there is a large difference in temperature. Some applications put many of the units next to each other. For example, there was a product "devil watt" that could be placed on a wood stove that produced 100watts of power. This unit had water cooling. I believe this unit used a grid of the TEG to achieve such high power output. The challenge though is normally getting enough heat to move through them to maintain such high power production.

    Bang kalau tec jadi generator bisa gak?
    Trus gimana naikin tegangan teg nya biar maksimal?

    • @SKILFULLIFE
      @SKILFULLIFE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      TEC can be used as generator but with limited temperature range. It can not stand with high tempearture.It's efficiency is lower than TEG.

      To increase voltage, connect in series, and to increase amps, connect in paralel.

    what exactly is the use of the heat sink? Does it increase the temperature difference? It conserves cold on the cold side? What are tips for voltage output optimization?

    • @SKILFULLIFE
      @SKILFULLIFE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Heat sink helps to increase the temperature difference across the TEG by reducing the heat from the hot side of the TEG.

      The maximum size on the market is 60mm X 60mm. You can find it on Amazon or other tech websites.

    Does TEC create energy?

    • @SKILFULLIFE
      @SKILFULLIFE  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does, but the efficiency is less than TEG.

    • @beronicamelchor2963
      @beronicamelchor2963 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Roughly 1/4th or less energy than a Teg using more fuel. They are only good for low voltage energy harvesting. High temperatures will burn them out.
