Apple has a self-imposed limitation on its' data mining. They put customer privacy as a priority. They don't want to use their own data to train Siri nor any other LLM. They prefer this partnership to provide AI to their custoemr while keeping the branding promise that privacy is sacred for them.
GPT-4o monetization will be way more aggressive than previous models. I already reached a very limited limit of the free tier. Immediately I pull out my wallet, thinking 'take my money' 😊
I wonder if you can discuss all the apps in apple app store that say they are 'powered' by 4o? I'm having trouble using 4o from my typical GPT browser access - what link do y'all use?
I think this show devolved very quick into hype on OpenAi. I'm not even an Apple fan, in fact quite the opposite but Apple fumbling Siri compared to OpenAi is a gaff but I think we've leaped well into the hype-o-sphere here saying that OpenAI can create a phone better than Apple if they do it. Googles, Samsung, Blackberry, Motorola etc have all tried that. Not only that what even is "better" with better AI? or better UI and AI? Or better screen? I think we're riding a little high here boys on just how "good" Sam Altman and OpenAI is. I love the energy and I love the ideas you guys bring out on the pod often but I think maybe we need to add a hater to the pod for a little balance, a Simon Cowell for the team maybe.

OpenAi actually just enabled those companies when you think about it. Once voice/actions are enabled on 4o or 5 API
