Hello everyone, this is Konomin's comment on this Eng ver from her twitter post. (google translated and I modified a little bit) I sang in a language that is not my mother tongue. I am a little bit nervous about how well the song will be conveyed. There are people who are listening to this song even across the ocean, in places even across the ocean, in places that seem far away. They send me their thoughts about the song through the social media, and when I go to overseas concerts, I get so much love that I fully recharged when I come back. Some people even come to Japan just to see my concerts. I can always see them. I am really grateful and I want to give them back through my singing!!! So, I took this challenge with all my heart. You might think , ‘The sound of the voice is different, but this is also this “ or “This is the song that was heard during the live ending credits” or “Finally , I can understand the real meaning of this song” I’m really looking forward to seeing how everyone receives it. I hope this song will reach even deeper!!!
I think a lot of times when we get official English versions of songs they can sound awkward because the translating can be too literal or because it is not the singer's native language it loses some flow from pronunciation but compared to other official English versions of songs I felt this one had a really nice translation that didn't force it's self to be too literal. Especially on the ending line "And fraying it may be, and tangling as it may, Weave it together now and we will find a way" had a nice ring to it. Some lines still had that awkwardness but overall I was impressed by the rhyming and how she could still do the cool vocals I liked on the original in the English version!
No I totally agree. My comments about awkwardness are more about the translation than pronunciation. But i think thats mainly due to Japanese being shorter for sentences than in English. @@はや-o3t
@@sushi8562COOL You are totally right. Often a single line in Japanese could take an entire verse to explain in English. I tried my best to do a direct translation, but I'm glad you liked that ending line where I took a little creative liberty to get the rhyme in.
Absolutely love the effort put into creating an English version of Reweave that sounds just as good as the original. Moreover, Konomi's voice pronouncing all these words in English has definitely a nice ring to it.

I appreciate the effort but Im gonna stick to the original one. Sadly japanese lyrics always sound so bizarre when they translate it to english. Like i already have to put some effort to understand the english translation of the lyrics of anime ops here in youtube, but when they actually turn the whole thing into english it just doesnt sound like normal english.

Frankly speaking, I think she put a lot of effort to sing this song. Her pronunciation is really good.
