Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's upcoming film Devil is releasing worldwide on December 29th. Recently released trailer packs a punch and raised buzz on the film in the market. M9 News Journalist Nishant sat with the actor ahead of the movie release.
Speaking about the film, Kalyan Ram said, "I believe the stories will choose the actors the moment writer keeps pen on the paper for the first time. I am lucky to get films like Bimbisara and Devil. When Srikanth Vissa narrated the story I liked the hero characterization and the setup of the 1940s. I asked him to commercialize the story and make it more appealing".
"The hard work is there for every movie. Its a different experience altogether for us with Devil. I will be wearing Dhothi in the film. Doing action in Dhothi is difficult. I even fell many times while running," Kalyan Ram narrated.
He refused to speak about the director change. "It is better if Abhishek Nama speaks about it. I do not want to comment on it as a third person," he told.
Coming to his next production venture, Devera.
"We are well aware that there are so many expectations are on the film especially since it is coming after RRR. Devera is going to be massive. It is a perfect blend of action and drama. Tarak trusted Koratala Siva more than anyone else. We are all supporting him. We are someone who wants to speak less and let out work do more. You will see that when the Glimpse releases," Kalyan Ram said.
He also explained why Junior NTR is missing from Devil promotions.
"He is working day and night for Devera. I have seen the amount of hard work he is putting in for the film. This holiday is his hard-earned break. It was decided much in advance. I do not want to become an obligation for him," he explained.
Kalyan Ram also revealed about the plans of Harikrishna's memorial.
