Just to point something out about the discussion on the age of Welsh. Welsh (breton, cornish, irish), English (German, Danish, Dutch) Latin, Albanian, Hindi, Persian, Kurdish, Greek, the Slavic languages etc. Are all basically the same age. They *all* developed from the theoretical mother language, Proto-indo-european. The only languages that could *possibly* be considered younger than the aforementioned languages are those like: French, Romanian, Italian, Catalan etc, which developed from Latin. Scottish Gaelic and Manx, which developed from Old Irish. Afrikaans from Dutch. Etc. But the age of a modern language is a bit of a silly discussion to have. Doesn't really mean anything. Didn't mean for this comment to come across as arsey or anything, apologies if I come across as rude.
This was a joy. Thanks for having the Chronicler on!
One of my favourite TH-cam creators. The Pengwern episode has inspired me to go visit the area and the places mentioned.
