Thanks for posting this. I just finished installing the same unit and thought I was missing something in the instructions - nothing on how to wire this. Your video was perfect and our system is in and operating perfectly now. MUCH appreciated.
I did my wiring to W and C. The W setting is for the furnace and mine gives 24v (most of them do). When my furnace goes on so does the humidifier. You can also wire it to the G for fan. But if you circulate the air it would turn on. I find W and C to work best. I believe the humidifier wiring would be on all the time
You explained some of the wiring but not the completely. I assume the power wire from the controller goes to the the hum tab and the white wire that is tied into the selonoid goes to the W /white wire on the mother board. You are also not using the transformer?? Please clarify. Thank you
Thanks for the video. It is important to note that some circuit boards have a HUM-H and HUM-N takeoff. If this is the case this method will not work for you as those supply 120VAC. Always verify the voltage of your HUM takeoff. This can be found in the manual/instructions for the board.
**Just so everyone knows the Humidistat is suppose to be minimum 6" above the elevation of the Humidifier between them as per instructions from Manufacturer.
Good morning Dan I am a guy from Houghton Lake, here in Michigan and I have been trying to figure out how this (same) controller should be wired. I had a previous Aprilaire, I was replacing. The new one had an auto type controller, and the new system has the same looking controller I have. I have been having a hard time completing the circuit with the controller, water valve, and 24V transformer, which was already installed. Your wiring of the manual controller, definitely showed me my controller wiring was off. Is there a way you can explain/show me how you wired this controller? I have an 27 + year old controller, so forget about the EAC board, or whatever you called it Thank you Mike

Did your humidifier come with a current sensing relay?
I have this system on my unit but can’t find the humidistat controller. Just bought the house and no instruction. Any help would be great

Thank you directions for wiring wasn’t very clear. Exact video I was looking for. I replaced the same one as well
The selonoid has 2 yellow wires. Which yellow wire gets power red?
Dosent matter what one
I’m that didn’t show anything how to wire that thing up.
