Look into When the Levee Breaks (most sampled drum beat ever) or check them out live would suggest Since I’ve been Loving You live 1973 Madison Square Garden. You still today find them sampled in tons of hip hop and rap music. 50 years later their music is still fresh
This band was the perfect storm of talent coming together. The first 2 members were great studio musicians, Jimmy Page guitarist is considered in the top 5 or 6. John Paul Jones bassist & Keys is also top 5 Youngsters John Bonham is in my opinion the best rock drummer of his time & Robert Plant on vocals speaks for it self From 1969 to around 1980 they were considered the best contemporary band in music. They disbanded after the death of drummer John Bonham (Bonzo). They felt he could never be replaced. Classy , love & friendship

A huge part of this is "adapted" from Blues legend Howlin Wolf's "Killing Floor" - which was also covered by Jimi Hendrix. The "killing floor" was a reference to the slaughterhouses of Chicago a city where many southern African-Americans, like "Wolf", Muddy Waters, and Buddy Guy migrated from the south - this migration was essentially the birth of Chicago Electric blues.
