Do you feel pressure that you need 1 month for one video. it takes me 2 weeks for one videos and it makes me anxious how less im posting compared to others.
@MariamingAround Hi! personally I try not to focus on the speed or the frequency but more on the quality and the impact it can hopefully have on others. But do what makes you happy and makes you feel comfortable. I know it's difficult but the cliché answer in this case is the best. Meaning when I compare myself with others I'm most often unhappy. When I draw inspiration from others I feel motivated and full of purpose. At least this is what works for me. I hope it helps in some way. ⚡️⚡️✊🏼⚡️⚡️
@allistersvideos you are the first to ask that question. So, the 3 soonwell lights I use have an automatic mode. They’re all set to different rhythms and colors. The camera is on a slider, and I’m on a 40 dollar rotating platform from Amazon.
@@RandMpinkFilms Absolutely! I was just talking to a friend who I showed your video to, and he used to film lots skateboard stuff on mini DV. He still uses the DVX100, but surprisingly not for picture aquisition, but for (authentic) sound effect recording! Would never thought about that, haha.
@HeyQuinton Thanks man! Appreciate it! I'll summarize quickly in order as you listed. 1. The pencil shot was done with a slider, a 15 to 35 Lense, shot at 45 degrees to reduce motion blur. 2. The Marker shot as well. Same as above. 3. Iphone 15 pro max Apple log. Attched the the iphone to the chair with a clamp. That's it. 4. One hand holds the iphone, the other the mouse. Repetition is key to get the timing right.
@@RandMpinkFilms Youre a king! I didnt expect you to respond (but so appreciative that you did) - wanting to give you some ideas for future videos :) The 'How I shot it' style videos quite popular right now - and I think you have a very unique voice to present it to the masses. Thanks again!
@HeyQuinton I genuinely appreciate your support and compliment. Yes, absolutely interested in what you’d like to see next. What topic, what questions, please definitely let me know if you have any suggestions. ✨🙌🏽✨
I really enjoyed this video, i see you have inspiration from Dwax(if im spelling it correctly); but, i had some questions and a bit of criticism so first of all, why do you made this videos theme as if it's always tense and the vibe somehow doesn't match the content? is it for explanation and to show how to do those stuff that youre saying or something else also, why should we place our subject in points of a grid? why not in the middle or in the square itself? the weight of the scene seems wierd if i place my subject in corners, how does it work? also why does the sound doesn't match the video? lipsing in some parts is way off
@ferox3854 thank you for commenting! The style of the video is not meant to be tense but rather full of “action” in yes, something that probably doesn’t require action per se. But again this is just a choice of style when it was made. But you’re right that it’s not necessarily a straight forward tutorial but more of a see how these choices affect the frame as you apply them. Placing your subject in the corners of the grid and changing angles can give the viewer a different experience. You can absolutely place them in the center if you choose and this gives them a sense of importance. Shoot from below and they are a hero. Shoot from above and they don’t have as much authority. Leave room at the top of it and it gives the idea that there is thought in process. I break all these rules in this video. They’re just choices and tools to help you tell your story but you don’t have to apply one single one of you don’t want. As far as the lip sync situation, you’re correct. I record all the audio before and sync it later in the editing. Probably a stupid technique to use but I like the freedom it gives me and not have to worry about sound while I’m filming as I do everything by myself and often times there’s noise around. I hope this helps!
@@RandMpinkFilms Thanks a lot, those tips were helpful and to break them is kind of a creative way of thinking about it; as you said it, thinking outside the box.

@Romi2055 thank you!! I appreciate it! ⚡️⚡️✊🏼⚡️⚡️
Do you feel pressure that you need 1 month for one video. it takes me 2 weeks for one videos and it makes me anxious how less im posting compared to others.
How the heck did 3:15 lighting setup work?
@allistersvideos you are the first to ask that question. So, the 3 soonwell lights I use have an automatic mode. They’re all set to different rhythms and colors. The camera is on a slider, and I’m on a 40 dollar rotating platform from Amazon.
Insane quality for the view / sub count. Man is gonna blow up
@Kyranbrockett803 you made my day with this comment! I truly appreciate it! Thank you!! ⚡️⚡️✊🏼⚡️⚡️

@@RandMpinkFilms Absolutely!
Can you make a video on your editing style or if you already have an updated version
@kadewade8726 thanks for the idea request! In the midst of wrapping up the next video but will definitely cover that next.
Didn’t expect anything, left blown-away! Very cool video! 👍 I suppose you didn’t shoot it on a DVX100/200 😉
@nebukadnezzar3578 Hahaha!! Thank you! You know, if I still had it I would do a video with it. That mini DV look is classic. ⚡️⚡️✊🏼⚡️⚡️
This is shot amazing love the colours & and great video
@SuperBlackfox22 Thank you! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your comment! ⚡⚡️✊🏼⚡️⚡️
The golden ratio has nothing to do with the rule of thirds. But nice video!
@kurtcleary6794 Thank you brother! Yes, agreed! I'm just clumping together a bunch of info for the sake of tempo. Probably not the best idea.
A lot of great information in here, learned a ton, thank you!

@jhilmiliqueen Thanks for watching it! Glad it was helpful!! ⚡️⚡️✊🏼⚡️⚡️
great vid - would love a breakdown of some of your shots. Particularly:
@0:23 Macro follow
@1:53
@4:11 following the legs
@4:30 mouse tracking
What fps do u prefer for this style video?
@SayfiAl-Fikri I always keep it at 23.98
just wow, this is the best video ever on YT
@ZBSstudioBE made my day this comment! Thank you!! ⚡️⚡️✊🏼⚡️⚡️
I really enjoyed this video, i see you have inspiration from Dwax(if im spelling it correctly); but, i had some questions and a bit of criticism
so first of all, why do you made this videos theme as if it's always tense and the vibe somehow doesn't match the content? is it for explanation and to show how to do those stuff that youre saying or something else
also, why should we place our subject in points of a grid? why not in the middle or in the square itself? the weight of the scene seems wierd if i place my subject in corners, how does it work?
also why does the sound doesn't match the video? lipsing in some parts is way off
@ferox3854 thank you for commenting!
@@ferox3854 I'm glad it was helpful, and I genuinely appreciate your honesty. Let's beak some rules! ⚡⚡✊⚡⚡
