Excellent coverage of the Retro Shooter Pandora's Box Light Guns. I know this video is older, but how can we add the newer games (Mad Dog, Revolution X, etc)? I updated my Box, but they're not there. I bought the set-up just before they updated the gun muzzles & added the 2 extra sensors. A video detailing the process would be great, as I'm not the most computer-literate guy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
Noticed you're playing with the blue gun when the red gun is intended to be player 1 (at least it is on the documentation that came with my system and in some of the games too). The blue gun was registering as player 1 for me too. On the bottom of the gun in front of the trigger there's three little switches. I had to swap the position of the switches on the blue gun to match the position of the switches on the red gun and vice versa - and now my red gun is player 1 and blue is player 2.
@@pc5440 it doesn’t if you don’t mind the blue gun being player 1. I wanted the red gun to be player 1 and was able to switch it using the dip switches. The guns default to player 1 or 2 based on these switches and can’t be changed in the software or by plugging them into a different usb port
@@pc5440 the recoil on my blue gun isn’t as responsive as the red one (and I’ve read others who have noticed this too). A lot of the games color player 1 red and player 2 blue. I thought I’d share how I was able to switch them in case someone wants to
I always wanted to have the companies release collections with their rail shooters in all the systems! As it seems this is the closest we can get right?!? 😅 And how much is the cost of it??? 😊
Does the aiming feel good or is it non-responsive/loses sync at times? I've got this thing in a cart ready to go I'm just waiting for a bit more feedback before pulling the trigger, so to speak.
If they put a chipset that could handle 3D better, it would be a buy. Still not sure why they would put the SOC they did, when there are chips for same cost that handle 3D way better. Dreamcast is easier than other 3D systems.
@@pauliwall1986I would consider getting but the price for what the box offers and performs isn't inviting. I expect at least more modern arcade shooters from at least ps2 and ps3 era for that price. How do you got a dedicated shooter system without much of the software to tolerate the price.
@omegafire6253 I can't argue value since that's based on personal preference. So I get what you mean, it is pricey and not a huge step up from previous pandora's. However for me it plays most the games I want to play. It could be better, but it scratches the itch for retro gaming.
Hey bud I have this too. Just got it about 10 days ago. Been playing in my computer room on a 32 inch led. But I want to try it in my living room where I have a 85 inch led. But I though people were saying nothing over 55 or 65 inch TVs. What size is yours? And also if you try the 4x3 ratio would you end up moving your sensors in to the edge of the 4x3 boarder? Or leave them still on the outside edge of the tv? Let me know if you don’t mind and if you tried 4x3 and if you like that more than 16x9. Thanks man
I have a 70 inch tv and it's been just fine. I have done 4:3 but mainly for mame and fba. I played a little of T2 on 4:3 tonight and it does look better. I left the sensors on the edges of the screen and it worked fine.
@@pauliwall1986 cool man thanks for the reply bro. I’ll be trying on my 85 inch then in the next couple days . I think I’ll give the 4x3 ratio a try. So you are keeping the whole setup on all light guns as 4x3? You like that better? Just looks wise? Or game play wise too. Thanks again for the info. Oh and do you have to recalibrate a lot? I kind of seem to always have too!
Is that just a USB light gun? I wonder if I could get something like that to work with MAME on my PC. Be fun to play Lethal Enforcers or even Duck Hunt if I could get one to work on a NES Emulator.

However if someone wants to build me a fancy pc setup with no delay and do all the tech stuff set up that I wouldn't turn that down either.😂
Yes you can. I like the pedal (because nostalgia), it makes for a bunch of cables. Mine was already setup to use the larger right side button. However you can customize buttons in the menu.
Not lightgun. You can any other supported system. The manufacturer say that more lightgun games will come through updates. Just for reference there's over 5000 games but around 100 are lightgun.
@matthew-005 I got better the more I played. I don't think the sights are off, I think each game has a different hit detection. So once you get the feel for that game you're good. You can always recalibrate if you feel it's real off. It's quick and easy, only takes a few seconds.
@@pauliwall1986 So it's not like the Wii mote shooter that went more off sight the farther you aimed away from the centre of the screen that was so disappointing it worked that way.

There actually is, but you have to go to the on board settings and change. Some games can be changed in the software.
