I bought one. LOVE it! It holds a twin air mattress with space to spare on each side of the mattress. Easy to put up and take down (because of your demo in closing it). Highly recommend.
As of 7/1/2023 Amazon has this tent listed for $119.00. It has a 4.3/5 stars review rating. I personally don't have one but a friend of mine does. He will never use anything else. As Luke says opening the door in the rain does allow water to enter the tent but my friend solves that by placing a small tarp (5x7 or 10x10) over the front whick also serves as a sunshade to sit under. I may soon join him in purchasing one of these tents.
The wife has a green Decathlon (quetchua)one, not sure you have those in the USA; They're all basically the same design anyway & perform surprisingly well. Great for car camping, camp sites & garden camping. It's a shame they don't make a lighter version for back packing. Ha! Buggars to pack away though.
Once you know how it works it’s not too hard to pack up. 2 minutes or so of wrangling, vs the 2 second setup. Disregarding the stakes of course. Some of them pack up smaller than others, btw, they’re not all the same design.
Thanks for the review, Luke. This seems like a great little pop tent. Ever since I started using the Catoma IBNS a couple years back for some of my backpacking trips, I fell in love with pop tents. this seems like a good 2-person option for car camping, etc. Cheers.
Neat idea for a tent, super easy set up too. While not a backpacking tent, this could really come in handy for those quick camping trips in the vehicle.
I live in the UK and have a pop up tent from Urban Escape. Double skin 3000mm on the fly sheet and 10, 000mm on the ground sheet. It's also a 2 man. £60.00. Great for car camping . I do like the colour of your one.
This is a clever idea for a quick trip where you just want minimal hassle. I have a huge tent for car camping with cots that go inside it - you can stand up inside it, and sleeping in it is like sleeping in your house. It is really nice and comfortable, but also just too much hassle/work to set all that up for a single night - you want to be there at least 4-5 nights to justify the hassle. If you get into your campsite after dark and it is raining, you'd be pretty happy to have this thing. It is too bad it doesn't have a little gear porch/rain fly.
So I watched your review jus now and decided to check out th price and at this time it is selling for $106 fantastic price. I hope your follows see this
Im not a lover of pop up tents. to many bad experiences but have to say this one looks good .Most are only a single skin so the condensation is a major problem
4:28 are you kidding? I am currently lay in the pooring rain and wind in a soul 200 with my head as close to the foot end as possible. The head end is far too cold all the coldness comes through the closed door. No idea how they think this is a 2 person tent!
The tent I bought was not 6`5''. And it had a lot of water on the inside when I woke up in the morning. Was not as you said. I'm 5'9'' and my head and toes touched both ends.
Could you review more pop up tents? Or recommend some? Me and my husband would like to get one of these pop up tents for simple one night camping trips, but the one you have recommended here has been sold out for some time. We tried looking at others on Amazon but the market has been overwhelmed with pop up tents copying the designs. Thank you in advance.
I love the tent's ease. Do you think it would be real hard to create a vestibule area with a tarp set up? Might help to create a dry zone under which to at least park the door area of the tent. That way, giving you a place to come out into, and keeping the entryway dry.
Good job reviewing this tent. I think it's ridiculous, even as a play tent for the kids, except that 's too much money for a play tent. I can't really imagine who this is for. As for the rain in the door issue, a poncho could easily be set up as door cover with a hiking pole and some string.
In france you can buy the Quechua " 2 second 2" from Decathlon for 50 euro, works perfectly and have a little fabric that protect water getting in when the door is open, my only issue with it that the tent do not breath at all (on this particular model). I recommand for car camping or camping in festival
As someone who does a lot of car camping, I love that fast setup idea. However, my girlfriend pretty much requires a cot to sleep on or her back/hips start killing her. Have you ever checked out those easy-up tents you see by Coleman and Ozark Trail that are supposed to be setup in under 2 minutes? It looks like they pop up sort of like those bug net shelters that extend from each leg.
The Ayamaya (4-6 person) has been another pop-up that people think is super solid. I looked through your videos and didnt see it, but it would be another good inexpensive option to check out for a review.
I know these from Decathlon and I have seen these in use at swim meets. Although I am pretty sure they are great, I exactly do not want one because I would be far too afraid that I would not be able to pack them up or to break something. I much prefer the old-school method of sticking poles through a sleeve. Much less scary to me.
Haven't read all the comments, so maybe this was already asked: is this a 4 season tent? I am looking for something compact for winter camping and something like this might be the answer for it. Great video. Keep up the great and informative reviews, bro!
hey Luke, do you watch the Intense Angler on TH-cam? He did a video 2 weeks ago about a wood rocket stove. I think it would be a great idea to have one at a camp site.
Great vid. Hope you had a nice T-day! If I get one for the car trunk for the summer days I'm crashing over at my friends house. So much easier than dealing with poles. (and the hammock tent I bought is uncomfortable).
Thanks for the review...very nice tent. Definitely will have to go check one out. Looking forward to your next overnight adventure...God bless you and your family. ---Tony
I have the Quechua 2man pop up. Same silly, front door sloping back design. If it's raining there's nowhere to be protected while doing a breakfast or make a drink with front door open. I've tried all kinds of fixes and failed!!! Any ideas please ?
Love your reviews! Thank you for all these! Could you do a hyke & byke either zion or yosemite 2p tent please? On Amazon for less than $100 at the moment
Nice review Luke. Seems like a nice product. I most often use a hammock when camping but I may just give this tent another look. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy & be safe!
I know what a pop up tent is like but I couldn't help but laugh at how unfased you were at it. One minute it's a man hole cover next minute it's a house haha
I see this tent has lost a half a pound and a commenter states he is 5'9",,,,, and it is too small.. his head touches.... compared to the 6'5" you stated.... Seems they literally cut some corners... Why can't they offer a large and lightweight size when companys do this....???
I W0ULD BE AWES0ME WHEN CAMPING WITH A BUNCH 0F FRIENDS ESPECIALLY N00BS,AS THEIR ALL TRYING T0 PUT UP THEIR TENTS Y0U SIT THERE WATCHING,AND AS THERE ALL GIVING Y0U A HARD TIME AB0UT "Y0U BETTER START PUTTING UP Y0UR TENT,ITS DARK S00N," Y0U WAIT TILL THE FIRST T0 SET UP HIS TENT IS JUST AB0UT FINISHED,AND Y0U 0PEN IT UP TAHDAH, N0W THATS G0ING T0 PISS EVERY0NE 0FF
Not much space for all your gear? No because you'd want to be within arm's reach of a car if you're using this. Definitely would not be taking this anywhere with a backpack.
Dude...you just invalidated all the other tent reviews you made for "normal" backpacking tents...you "hate having to spend a ton of time setting up 50 different poles." Your words. You said they were good at the time. You said they were easy to set up. The only thing I get from you is that you "love" what you are reviewing.
The “50 different poles” comment referred to car camping tents, not the backpacking tents he typically reviews. He was talking about the gigantic 6/8/10 person tents people often take car camping, that you can stand up in. Those are indeed a bear to set up, as you have to assemble a huge framework of hefty poles. Like that humongous insulated tent Luke and Suzy took car camping in a video. I seem to remember his chief complaint with it being the lengthy setup.
I bought one. LOVE it! It holds a twin air mattress with space to spare on each side of the mattress. Easy to put up and take down (because of your demo in closing it). Highly recommend.

You are amazing at what you are doing. Seriously one of the best, detailed, most clear-cut informative reviews I have ever seen.
Thanks Michael.

Actually looks well thought out
just got mine! it's incredible.bigger then i expected and folding it back up was easy, thanks to you.
Great video. I loved the step by step take down and folding of the tent.

+WhiskyEcho Hey there Whisky, it has been a while since I have used the IBNS, next year for sure! Take care my friend and be well.

wow does this tent come in one person if so that would be so freaking cool! love the review!
Would love to see you review on the Coleman 4 man pop up tent as well. Great video!
So I watched your review jus now and decided to check out th price and at this time it is selling for $106 fantastic price. I hope your follows see this
Times change, but not by much. Just got mine for $113.
Double skinned. Unusual with a pop-up. Looks like a good design, especially with a lot of mesh for preventing condensation.
Luke can you use these pop-up tents in the winter in a snow storm with a buddy heater
Im not a lover of pop up tents. to many bad experiences but have to say this one looks good .Most are only a single skin so the condensation is a major problem

This should be addressed.
Luke, can you please do a review of the gazelle pop up tent.
I love my tents and might have to add this one to the collection. Thanks for showing the pop up tent Luke.
I love the tent's ease. Do you think it would be real hard to create a vestibule area with a tarp set up? Might help to create a dry zone under which to at least park the door area of the tent. That way, giving you a place to come out into, and keeping the entryway dry.
I really like that tent the front runner it just may be my next purchase for car camping. Thanks Luke for sharing

Hey Luke, back when you had your truck did you ever get a chance to try any of the tents that attach to the back of a pick-up? Thanks Pat.
Any idea what the difference are between the first model and the second?
How does this tent hold up in high winds?
As someone who does a lot of car camping, I love that fast setup idea. However, my girlfriend pretty much requires a cot to sleep on or her back/hips start killing her. Have you ever checked out those easy-up tents you see by Coleman and Ozark Trail that are supposed to be setup in under 2 minutes? How would this compare to the Coleman pop up tent?
The Ayamaya (4-6 person) has been another pop-up that people think is super solid. I looked through your videos and didnt see it, but it would be another good inexpensive option to check out for a review.
Wish they made a lightweight pop up tent for backpacking.
I know these from Decathlon and I have seen these in use at swim meets. Can you test the Ozark Trail Mountain pass Geo Frame tent, Sleeps 2 that is the one the I have and see what you think about it
Can you compare this tent with the coleman tent??
Great video, thanks for all the info! Stocked to hear they can handle rain well - that was my main concern! :)
I carry one backpacking. Honestly its light, just threw a shoulder strap because it has an awkward shape.
Super easy to do. Pop up tent, the way to go. Thank you Luke! Are you will be able to do a video in the future with Solo wood stove?
hey Luke, do you watch the Intense Angler on TH-cam? He did a video 2 weeks ago about a wood rocket stove. I think it would be a great idea to have one at a camp site.
Am I allowed to download your videos and watch them on my ipod Luke?
Can you please do a review on the cold steel trial hawk
cool idea but super heavy for its size at 3.4Kgs. Cheap but the door issue and weight eliminates from serious consideration for hiking.
Pop up tents have often a single wall so the solution for the Door-issue is: use it with Tarp!
How do you carry it if you have to walk to your camping spot
Great vid. Hope you had a nice T-day! If I get one for the car trunk for the summer days I'm crashing over at my friends house. So much easier than dealing with poles. (and the hammock tent I bought is uncomfortable).
Is the tent rain proof?
Happy Thanksgiving everyone 💖🤗🙏🏻 stay safe out there! Strength and honor.
THE RAIN FLY COVERS ALL!!! sold
Thanks for the review...very nice tent. Definitely will have to go check one out. Looking forward to your next overnight adventure...God bless you and your family. ---Tony
Those models remind me of my Catoma Bug net system, awesome tent !
Is this tent a 4 Season rated?
Definitely a 2 person if you are not 6'1" and 240lbs like myself. Maybe just me and my gear. I'd say made for smaller guys.
I have the Quechua 2man pop up. Same silly, front door sloping back design. If it's raining there's nowhere to be protected while doing a breakfast or make a drink with front door open. I've tried all kinds of fixes and failed!!! Any ideas please ?
How bout a small tarp clipped to the front pole?
Love it.......poured the rain!!!
+C Barta Haha Haven't heard that before? Here in the South that's a common phrase.
"It's raining, it pouring, the old man is snoring...."

No, I haven't heard that one before, but I love it! Living in Minnesota, we have "you bet".......slang for "you betcha"......LOL!!!
Enjoy & be safe!
this is much more of a hybrid tent compared to the Sierra Designs tent you looked at.
Ha ha...you didn't show how it was a pain to get back into the carrying bag. Thanks.
Pop up tents arte very popular and affordable here in Europe (i'm in Italy). Searching for Quetchua on the web: u'll see! Ciao!!!
Thanks for the review. I just ordered one and at checkout they gave me a $20 discount. Maybe a cybermonday deal? Great value.
Why did I hear Ernest P Worrell during folding up deminstration?
6:27 More contagious than Covid
I'd never be able to put it away. I can never work out all those twisty
moves and probably end up throwing it in the bin in frustration!!!
I know what a pop up tent is like but I couldn't help but laugh at how unfased you were at it. One minute it's a man hole cover next minute it's a house haha
109.00 on front runner website now

Your tents are expensive. Decathlon double skin is a lot cheaper for a pop-up and it's water tight
Not much space for all your gear? No because you'd want to be within arm's reach of a car if you're using this. Definitely would not be taking this anywhere with a backpack.
first..... :)
