- The Camino de Santiago isn't just a long walk - it's a mirror that reflects your true self. In this video, I take you on my journey from struggle to serenity, where illness and injury became unexpected gifts, resetting my path in ways I never imagined.
From the initial challenges to the effortless flow, from the pain to the unexpected joys, the Camino dispensed both in equal measure.
As I approached the lighthouse at Finisterre, I found myself in a whirlwind of emotions. The Camino had challenged me beyond my expectations, stripping away my defenses and forcing me to confront my inner self. Discover how this pilgrimage became a profound encounter with the person I am beneath the surface, and why the Camino is so much more than just a walk.
Join me at the edge of the world in Finisterre as I reflect on this extraordinary adventure that forced me to ask the right questions, rather than seek easy answers.
Discover why, in the end, the Camino is not just about the people you meet, but about meeting yourself. #camino #caminodesantiago #philosophy
So come walk along with me…

A fantastic cumulative narrative of your Camino. A bringing together of all the emotions, pain and wonderment of what one is capable of. Opening up new inner pathways to be explored and a deepening of the senses and oneness of life that so many never have the opportunity or even the will to discover. Buen Cowmino
thank you, Stephi, for following along all these months - and for your great observations and comments.... and yes, it's a Cowmino, after all! :) stay tuned...
"The Camino is you". I fully agree and concur. I am me.
I can confirm: you are you, Bruce. As evidenced on the Camino 😝
"The Road goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone.
Let others follow, if they can!
Let them a journey new begin.
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet."
~ J.R.R. Tolkien
another apt quote… thanks!
i used the one by Rilke that you commented some time recently
Thanks to you, I did this and had an amazing time. In so many ways. Thank you for sharing this third Camino and the time and energy you put into it. Amazing feat.
Gerrit, thank you for this great Camino reportage. Good Camino stories on YT are truly hard to find. You presented us with not only with great images, the pretty just as the gritty, and you took us along and shared your inner thoughts. That’s not an easy thing to do. And you edited your videos there and then on the way … just alone the multitasking of filming and talking coherently while walking or even when being sick. Chapeau 🎉. I mean it.
After three Caminos now it seems you found what you might have been looking for, am I right?
I hope you will still consider yet another Camino. … wherever. Maybe just for fun. And if you do, it would be great if you let us participate in your adventures.
Thanks again. Buen Camino, peregrino 😊
Kater, thank you so much for following along so intently all these weeks… and for giving excellent feedback all the time. As a fellow creator, you know how much this can mean…
i hindsight, I don’t know how i managed to edit those videos on the go, but the permanently buzzing energy of the camino made me do it. i think, anyway… 😄
Have I found it? I don’t know… maybe. maybe not.
time to find out!
cheers 🥂

Glad you enjoyed it! yes, quelle aventure….
I have absolutely loved watching your journey. Thank you so much for all your time and dedication. It has really meant a lot to me during a very personal time. I felt this could have been me. Everything resonated. I left Finisterre on the 10th, dropping down in the particular energy of that place. Lovely that you ended there. Who will you meet? You. Exactly, evolving you.
Thank you so much, Laura ☀️ I’m glad to hear my little videos have had that effect on you… and I agree, Finisterre is magical. What a way to end the walk!
Thank you to walk the Camino again. All the videos and words were so beautiful. I wish you all the and may be we see each other in Berlin.
I hope so too! 👋🏻 🇳🇱

I just recognized one of my camino friend. Anais from France! Some people you meet in the Camino are to be treasured forever.
oh yes, Anaïs, from Brittany, France! The people you meet are often so special.
I was there exactly a month ago. I miss it so much! If you are still there, take the alternative path to the lighthouse (western side of the peninsula) - it's absolutely stunning.
Thanks for the tips! i’ll use them next time…
A little bit late but great video of the last days and i agree, it was intense. But it brings also a lot ❤😂

Made it ! Thanks 😅

I can't wait for you to post the whole video of this third camino .
I know each one has been different, but which one would be best for you?
I imagine the first one because of everything you experienced, people, climate, etc.
‘best’ is impossible.. but this third one was extremely intense.
i’ll compile the One Long Movie of it soon!
@@storiestellr I'll be waiting
Solvitur ambulando. It is solved by walking. St. Augustine

I wonder what you will do next……..
good question…. 👀 not walking is not the solution, that’s for sure!
Lovely video as always. What day did you start in st Jean exactly? Might have missed you this year by a few days :)
oh no 😟 I started walking on May 4
Wow ! In the middle…. I started originally on April 28th. After 12 days in reaching burgos I decided I didn’t like it this time so I reset my Camino and restarted in roncesvalles on May 11th. So your Camino is right in the middle of my strange Camino this year 😀
Next May is the next one for me :)
@martinrumfeld8593 oh, a full restart? interesting! what made you do it?
Well… quite some reasons. Do you have an email ? So I can share my journey and reasons
