I like the size of those fruits and the fact that they fruit in waves so you can have a continuous supply.

Thanks, Dani. It is an interesting hybrid and I agree, the continous fruiting habit makes it a very useful plant.

Very impressed by the size of the fruits Dom and the productivity of the plants which are also very decorative. One for my shopping list eventually perhaps 😁

Cheers, Brett. Yes, the size of these fruit is incedible really. I really love this plant. I may end up moving it to the allotment once I've done the hard landscaping.
I dare say I may have a few interesting hybrids available very soon. I'm in the Oscar Tintori / Agrumi Lenzi region for a couple of nights so will put out a video ... if anything appeals, you have my email and tel. number. 👍🏽 😉

Fabulous Fingerlime hybrid that could well be hardy enough to overwinter outside in you garden Dominic. The yield of fruits is enormous given the size of the plant; very impressive. I have two fingerlime plants and although they flowered, all the fruitlets dropped off. Makes me think I have to sort out the feeding schedules.

Thanks, Mike. Yes this hybrid is totally cold-hardy. Just as well as I wouldn't want to brush past it's thorns while walking round my home. lol.
I'm sure your Fingerlimes will take off once established. They don't require much fertiliser because they're essentially 'bush plants'.

@Moebius, I had no idea finger-Lime could get the big 🤩
Great hybrid variety, which looked very juicy.

Thanks, Joe. I think it was juicy because I crushed the vesicles by squeezing the fruit too hard. The correct way to free the vesicles seems to be to cut the fruit length ways and scoop out the inside. This prevents them being crushed.
Yes, this hybrid gets to a nice size. I think I may have other non-hybrid fingerlimes that almost get as large. These haven't fruited yet.

Wow, those fruits were huge, Dom! They look incredibly juicy too! Thanks for the taste review 👍

The flavour of the vesicles reminds me of lime Opal Fruits sweets. The rind, when scratched, releases essential oils, which have an aroma somewhat similar to that of makrut lime, but with an added pepperiness.
I think you'll agree that the Faustrime is quite a prolific hybrid fingerlime. I'm glad that I managed to find one in the UK.

I'm super pleased you managed to find a Faustrime here. It's a rather special plant to have, imo.
I think you're right when you describe it's "pepperiness", I said "spicyness" but your word is more accurate.
I need to start grafting copies of it.
