    The good part was the clear distinction between spread and partition PGs , which was so confusing .

    Hi Sir,
    In the partion placement group, I have created a group with 7 partions, and launched 7 instances, but there was not a 1:1 mapping to the partition, i.e each partition had more than 1 instance.

    What does rack mean here?does rack mean like a Rack full of servers or does rack here mean a physical server? The reason I ask is in cluster mode all instances run on the same rack? so does that mean one single physical server or does that mean the instance run on different physical server but all these physical servers are on the same physical rack
