@ Adam Savage's Tested I've been rewatching Mythbusters and one of the things I have noticed is that when Jamie builds something intended to be destructive, it often ends up being even more destructive than originally intended!
      Take for example:
      -Blendo
      -The previously mentioned tire spike
      -A homemade flamethrower
      -The lawn mower from hell
      Just to name a few!

His eyes went cold and the mask came down over his face and I don't think he said another word. And much as I missed what I had just lost, I really couldn't blame him. Not one bit. 40 years ago I was an Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor for the state of NC. I have taught everyone I know the basics of the course. Accelerate out of trouble, you have no control over the vehicle when you're on the brakes. Avoidance driving. Stay in 1 lane, weaving typically slows ya down.

Adam talking about Mythbusters made me realize that back then, that show was one of our main sources of truth for scientific inquiries. If you wanted to know whether something true or not (confirmed/busted, or plausible - my least favorite outcome at the time), you would specifically look whether the Mythbusters team had tested the claim. I don't know that we can ever really comprehend the ripples the show has created in the world, but I now wonder how many curious young minds would have never entertained their curiosities if not for Mythbusters. I suppose this is all to once again say thank you for all you did, from all those you inspired.

From fabrication to paint, to rc cars, to LEGOs, to just wanting to ASK questions about things I don't know about. Adam, I just want to say that Mythbusters is so important to me. Growing up I wished you and Jamie could be my science teachers. Kari, Grant, and Tory would help us with projects and you guys would teach and also help us. I loved everything about the show and you were always my favorite. Your humor is just amazing and I couldn't have been happier to find this channel existed after the show ended. You guys all gave a new spin on this kind of stuff and really fostered an already growing love for models and special effects and science and all this stuff. I can't tell you enough how much I value the message that you all brought in a time where being smart and being nerdy and geeky was not in style at all. Especially for a girl who grew up thinking she was weird for liking this kind of stuff....Kari was a super hero to me. You guys are the best thing to have ever been on the discovery channel and I am so glad I still get to enjoy your energy on this channel. You introduced me to polystyrene and I'm now obsessed.
    Anyway, tl;dr.
I love you man. You are the best.

    1) The show is "Experience Mythbusters", where you revisit some of the better gigs, but use a Mythbuster's fan to experience the things you did.
    2) If you ever do that, I beg of you to put me in line
    3) I'd love to hear a further list of "unparalleled joy" on Jamie's face. When I started binge-watching a month or two ago, I saw a few moments. Particularly where the two of you successfully accomplished your goal or found something out that you didn't expect.
But I'd love to hear your top 5 moments of Jamie, and the moments of joy that surprised you (like the lead balloon)
Thanks for letting us experience Mythbusters through you.
Jamie's smartest decision was to hire-on someone who could show the joy that he sometimes hides.
