I'll say it again, but Magic Mike is the first keeper I have watched that has made me enjoy watching keepers. This guys is incredible. Probably one of, if not the best keeper.

Petr Cech was that for me. I watched him before the injury and it got me pumped. I played keeper when I was playing. Still do for rec teams sometimes. He was such a beast. So fast. Very brave. It’s the bravery that won him the helmet. 😅
Mike is amazing though too. He’s so adapt in every department. Remind me of Neur in his prime.

Petr Cech and Buffon were my favorites growing up. Shot stopper I give it to Cech because of his diving ability, leadership definitely Buffon, but as a keeper sweeper I give it to Maignan, I believe he is better on his feet. I am waiting for him to renew to order his shirt actually lol

@@hevanli13 hahaha. Yeah! Fer sure. I also loved Buffon. He was right up there with Cech for me too. I couldn’t watch the Serie A back then and could watch the EPL so naturally I gravitated towards Cech.
And you’re absolutely right. Maignan is definitely better with his feet. It wasnt as crucial for gks back then though so I’ll give ‘em a pass. Lol. They are all greats in their own ways. Maignan also has eccentricity on his side as well. It’s what makes him so damn entertaining

Adli deserves MOTM. His finishing was much harder than it seemed, especially in contrast to the lackluster finishing from everyone else. He was running his guts out all game. Giroud and Theo obviously had great games. Pulisic had a supremely meh game but earns bonus points for going for that header (In all my time watching the US national team, I have literally never seen him do that). Leao doesn’t get enough credit for creating chances and apart from one silly back heal put in a decent showing. Musah almost had a breakout moment and he gets bonus points for trying that solo goal.

I think this match is the perfect example of what most of us hope for with all the new signings last summer. When some are having a hard time, as Leao is at the moment, others step up. Puli did some nice things today, but he also missed 2 shots that probably should have been goals. So... Girouuuuud! stepped up with a goal and a killer assist! And Adli's goal was fantastic 😁
Imagine how unstoppable we'll be with a couple great defenders and all of our attackers firing 🔥

Great game by Aldi. All of our players played pretty well and Roma looked horrendous.
Idk if it’s an RLC issue or what, but our wings just seem so isolated when they receive the ball. I think both Leao and puli could produce at an even higher level if there was just a bit more of a connection under Giroud.
Also shout out to reijnders as well, he looked phenomenal on the ball. Would love to see a midfield of Benny at the 6 with Aldi and reijnders in the two 8s above him.

The best player for us this season is either Reijnders or Pulisic but If I were going to be a bit bias I gotta say it's Reijnders, the amount of minutes and game he play alone is a testament on how important he is for the team, the silky touch, line cutting pass (notice how he also does a lot of no look pass), how he dictate the tempo as a regista is nothing short of a feast on the eyes and I believe I'm not the only one that notice that his defensive ability and attribute have been increasing steadily in the past 10 games or so, I remember very well how he struggles defensively early on especially in that game againts Inter, now he is making better interception, winning ball with or without tackles and being more physical, the only criticism of him is his shooting prowess and boy does he suck at shooting, if he somehow able to increase his shooting prowess and keep increasing his defensive capability like this in 2-3 years I have absolutely no doubt that he gonna a top 5 midfielder of the world.

I’m a bit biased towards puli, but honestly I think you could make a case for anyone of the three between puli, reijnders, or tomori. All three have been phenomenal.
I think reijnders would legitimately be close to world class if he could improve on his shooting. His control is phenomenal, and for what he lacks in progressive passing, he makes up in progressive runs. Would also love to see him improve his progressive passing as well, but I think it wouldn’t be as noticeable if we had a midfield of adli, Benny, reijnders.

100% on Theo as LB. If he loses his pace and stamina, and try to recapitulate Maldini's path, then we can discuss his potential permanent switch. No way a great LB should be played out of position when he is either the best CB in the team. Emergency situation sure! But he has to play LB as it maximizes the overall team level.
Gabbia did really well as a side note in my opinion. You cannot convince me that Kjaer-Gabbia pair instilled great confidence when they had to face Lukaku. But Gabbia limited him tremendously!

I've noticed its either a Pulisic or a Leao game. The last 2 games have been Leao. And thats not saying Puli has been bad but Leao has had more space to work while they have pressing Pulisic more than usual. Maybe we'll see Pulisic pick it up some more next game. A coach is judged by the objectives given to him by his employer. If he delivers, then I don’t see a problem here with pioli. This man won us the scudetto 3 years early. Finished in UCL spots the next season and a semi final UCL finish and he’s strongly in 3rd position and we want him to leave and bring who exactly? Let’s pause and look at his objectives/deliverables vs his shortcomings and I can tell you his success far outweigh his failures.

It also has to be said that we are sitting in 3rd really comfortably, 8 points of Viola, 13 points on Roma, 11 points on Napoli is pretty significant and CL knock outs we missed on equal points with PSG. I doubt most neutrals would change coach based on that. If we play a decent EL I´d give Pioli at least the one year he has on his contract to show that he (and the club) can reduce injuries and what they can achieve with a more played in squad.

When I was a young goalkeeper dreaming of going pro I wished that there was a team that would pay a goalkeeper more than a striker. If Mignan gets what he’s asking for I would be very happy, the guy is incredible. He commands his area, he is good on his feet, and he is a great shot stopper, as well as an overall leader. I also agree with Kush, I prefer Motta over Conte, mostly due to the style of play and their personalities, but I am not certain Pioli will leave at the end of the season we still have to play Inter and Juve once more, we will see how it goes.

13:15 I get your point but the most important thing when choosing a manager as a big club is to understand that with Bologna he doesn't have to do a lot to earn respect from his players and fans, while with Milan there are a lot of egos and you have to do a lot to earn the respect. This is the most important thing when getting a new manager. We all like styles of play and hipster football. I personally do as well with De Zerbi - but we have to understand that managing is more than just how your tactics are set up on the pitch. Earning the trust of your dressing room is an undeniably crucial factor of a manager's long-term success. We need managers that players like Leao, Theo, Reijnders, RLC, Tomori, etc see and respect as their father. We don't need a manager that they can treat as a friend cause that's too risky imo

The thing about Conte is not his style of football - it's that Conte has a "win now" mentality and rarely stays long at a club (a lot like Mourinho in his prime). You'll get two (three years max) out of him where he'll contend for titles (although he's famously been bad in the European competitions). I see Motta more as a coach who'll develop players. That's essentially the decision the club has to make - is the team ready for a big push for titles or do you want to build something lasting.
Also I think the whole injury situation has soured to club leadership on Pioli. This happens every year now and it's so much worse than at other clubs that you have to assume something's wrong.

Pioli is not a bad couch, but the problem with him is that he tends to make some VERY silly mistakes when it comes to substitutions, reading the flow of the game and trying new formations when is not time to experiment. At this point in time, after couching Milan for more than 4 years, one would assume that he should have already learned from this mistakes... but he still does them from time to time.

@football Kush. I completely disagree with you on Motta being the choice. I’m not sure that the owners really care about how we play, they care that we win and are making enough money to run the football club. That being said Conte is a clear choice, he’s won enough trophies and has proven in Serie A he has the sauce. I’ve been a Milan for almost 30 years and we are not a trial by error team. Winning is what we do and we have tested the waters a bit, attained success with the Scudetto which in my opinion was pure luck. We have the players and clearly need more. Motta hasn’t won any trophies. Conte dominated Serie A so why go for an unproven coach when there’s one who: made Juve what they are today, created a blue print they followed for years and were still winning post his time, made a blue print in Inter that they’re benefiting from till date. I would much rather De Zerbi if we cannot afford Conte.
Leao is LAZY. Even the year we won the scudetto all he did is run and cut back, now they have him figured out he hasn’t done anything. I’ve watched him a lot and he doesn’t make runs that can split the defense he stay wide and waits to revive the ball, that’s very easy to manage. Cut the supply and he’s just a guy on the pitch. Imagine what Conte will get him to do if he coaches him.
