This story proves that while batman can be a dark superhero, he still is used as a means of being the light in an otherwise dark world void of hope. When i first read this story, i thought it was just a christmas carol with batman slapped on, but then i realized: it was more than just that, it was a sign of showcasing the light that batman finds in a world he thinks is filled with criminals. This story is dark, yet beautiful. The artwork is well done, the writing is amazing, and the characters are all done perfectly. Thanks, Comicstorian. Aesthetically, this has been the Batman that has influenced both Bale's and Affleck's versions. I personally think it's the most believable out of every out suit, so I can see why it works in live action.
This story came out after Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I think Lee Bermejo was actually inspired by the Nolan movies in some instances. At least with the tone. There's an interview with him where he praises Batman Begins for being grounded and psychological because he thinks Batman as a character works better in that regard.

They took inspiration from the Chris Nolan's Batman universe, you can even see it in the character's. Their Joker is pretty much Nolan's Dark Knight Joker, at least apperance wise. Bruce's attitude isn't that much different, a little bit more cynical, but he always gets like that every now and then, even in the animated series.

The art in this comic is just incredible, I would really recommend picking it up because the story is so good to read yourself and the art is just incredible to flip through
I can tell you what my family and I had for Christmas meal this year. It was the best in years. We had it on Christmas eve because too busy to cook on Christmas. We had baked ham with some type of glaze my mom gets. We also have homemade macaroni and cheese, potato salad, deviled eggs, baked sweet potatoes with molasses, applesauce and rolls.
I know you redid the forever evil story. Can you do the same with the final crisis story and also make some more full story dc videos? The full story is easier to listen to while I'm at work. I make everyone listen to good ol comicstorian haha.
You know on stories like this I (personally) think it would be better to have a short and sweet intro and have it fade to black in the end without much fuss. Helps with the mood.

Lost In Lucidity I feel this more Affleck’s version. The attitude, history and suit. They call him “old man” which he is.
