I'm so glad that you made this video. The national media put all their attention to Embiid and Harden. Deservedly so, but Maxey is a huge piece. When Ben Simmons decided to be a coward and crybaby this season before the trade, Maxey was thrown in the starting PG role. He's a score first guard and he has it all offensively. Maxey doesn't fear anyone and he is growing right in front of our eyes.
I really think his being pushed into the PG role, while not his best position, ended up accelerating his development. Now he has seen things from the facilitator's point of view and makes the extra effort to be in a position to get a good look. Plus he can run the offense when Harden takes a break. Being a PG has made him a much smarter player. Much better than watching teams sag off Ben and dare him to take a shot.
He has a true potential. He can shoot pretty well, he has a good finishing, he is really fast, he is a good defender, and we saw in NCAA that he has a very good playmaking and vision. I hope he will win a ring one day. I forgot, his floater is just awesome
