The reason Gohan was not locked in at 12:32 is because Nappa does not inflict sub counts the way that you're thinking he does it (I've seen a lot of people making this mistake). When Nappa enters the field, he inflicts all Son Family enemies with 3 sub counts (him inflicting all enemies with sub counts when faced with a son family enemy is different, THAT'S what you're thinking of). Of course, Frieza and S17 are not Son Family, so, there's your answer.

Yeah I was just about to say that cause I was running a team of Feetku with Birdku and OP on movies. And when nappa switched, Birdku got locked behind 3 subcounts, yeah its a big mistake most people make when using him, it only effects son family units.

Vegeta/Nappa are just the 2024 version of the Pikkon/Gogeta unit. They are just waiting for their partner&crime to show up (which will be in the anniversary)
UL SSJ4 Gogeta with RR counter that can be comboable with another Rising Rush, part 2 LF Tag Metal Cooler Movie SSJ Goku & Vegeta, and Nappa/Vegeta 💀
While I kind of agree they are nowhere near as underwhelming on release. I attribute that to Pikgeta being more of a support while these guys are more a strong, standalone unit.
@@marshoul2717 They are solid,but they look like your second unit that you run next to your star unit that does most of the work. Just like how Beast Gohan&Pikkon worked well together
@@js2003 which is how revival units should be. Overall they are extremely good which isn't a shocker since pretty much not a single revival character was bad. They've all been really good
@@user-ju5gx8up6s while they were runnable, Gohan and Piccolo were pretty much worthless on release, because all of their relevant teams were too stacked back then and they couldn't stand up to the top guns.

Since parasite trunks we can all agree that the animator behind some of these units absolutly cooks every time and the vegeta lf is soo fluid its crazy

seeing how yamcha performs over the past few videos it upsets me goku is completely mid while yamcha is maybe like top 15? like why a very iconic moment for what
I'm going to be honest, I really think it shouldn't be upsetting. Should Goku have been better? Yes. But we almost NEVER get *ANY* Yamcha units, let alone one that's actually good. We get a bazillion meta top-tier Gokus every year. I'd much, MUCH rather have the Yamcha be better than the Goku. Because this is the once in a blue moon moment where he gets a chance to shine in this game.
As for that moment, it's not a stretch to say it will likely be remade in a few years time, perhaps as an LF. I cannot say the same for Saiyan Saga Yamcha (except maybe if they do a new one with the iconic death scene). Which is why I'm happy they did him justice this time.

The lock in works in when the enemy son family is on standby and when nappa switch in to battlefield it'll inflict the standby son family character,not lock in the current son family that's in the battlefield
I can’t lie man it may be the first time you hear this but this is my favorite unit I love them I can’t stop using them man vegeta is such a crusher with the green cards and that damage and his blast armor he has good tanking like fr there under rated vegeta is great
Revival nappa is a solid character overall I really enjoyed using the unit on various teams on how he does

12:29: As I've found out from personal experience, he increases the sub counts of enemy son family characters who are on standby, meaning if the enemy's character on standby isn't son family, their sub counts don't get increased which I think is stupid

12:31 correct me if I'm wrong, but he inflicts 3 sub counts TO enemy Son Family characters, not the other characters on the bench. As in, he stops the Son Family character from switching in.
The meta will find redemption once a hero comes back

The reason why he did not lock in i cuz he only inflicts the stand by son family characters with sub counts. Same way the red transforming cell does (the one that transforms from 2nd form to final)

This is the third legends Limited that doesn't feel spectacular at all and the worst part is that it has been consecutively. Super 17 was the last legends Limited that paid off. Definitely the ultras overshadow the game too much, I expect something brutal for the anniversary.

The gauge is extremely useful for Vegeta. It might seem useless but the small buffs he gets from it add up. For nappa its completely useless since his role is to build up the gauge
