Archer’s Midnight is definitely an exciting project and a significant step toward transforming urban air mobility. It’s amazing to see the blend of eco-friendly innovation and cutting-edge engineering come together in this vision. With companies like Joby and Lilium also pushing the boundaries of eVTOL technology, it’s great to witness how different approaches are shaping the future of urban travel. Midnight is certainly leading the charge in bringing this concept closer to reality, and it’ll be fascinating to see how the eVTOL ecosystem continues to develop!
Great plane. However, JOBY is closer to being in the air with paying customers, as they are well ahead of all US based competitors on FAA approval to operate. The companies need to get 5 certs through the FAA. I think JOBY is on number 4 now. They should be in the air 12-24 months before anyone else! Both companies have excellent accomplishments either done or in the works. Glad I have EQUAL amount of stock shares in BOTH companies!
Want to get a feel for what Archer's Midnight sounds like in comparison to Joby's S4? We took a dB meter and a camera to the airports where they conduct their test flights. th-cam.com/video/FFguE2qWPfk/w-d-xo.html
That's a fantastic comparison! Thanks for sharing. Measuring the actual noise levels of Archer's Midnight versus Joby's S4 would give us real insight into which eVTOL truly lives up to the promise of quiet, urban-friendly air travel. Apart from sounds levels, which one is better in terms of sound quality?
You're right, a $5 million price tag for a 4-seater eVTOL with a limited range could significantly increase the cost of each trip, especially when considering the need for a pilot and other operational expenses. With such a high price and short range, it might not be the most cost-effective option for long-distance travel or frequent use.
Did I hear it right that it has 200lb weight limit /4 passengers = each passenger is 90lb including their belongings?? What kind of adult can weigh 90lb? Maybe the ones who are rushing to "weight-loss" class? Or the 4 going kids who can weigh within 90lb including their books and laptops? I find the narrator's voice is extremely annoying and couldn't finish watching it. Don't pitch your voice that high! Ouch!
No 😮 Each passenger and their luggage can weigh 200 lbs TOTAL. 4 Passengers max per flight...800 lbs. max passenger and luggage load combined. You can weigh 150 lbs, and carry 50 lbs on board .
Also, they account for the weight of the pilot, as well. The craft was designed as a pilotless drone, initially. But, the pilot is a requirement, at this time, for the FAA. If you're chunky, you'll need two seats... Some people might be mad about it, but it's a safety concern.

How high is the PE ratio? Still high?
$5 Million for a 4 Seater with a short Range, plus Weight and Cost for a Pilot means the Trips will be very expensive
