Patti, you are such a good teacher! You create beautiful things and share so clearly (including the vantage point of your video camera) how to make these rope bowls. Please keep doing what you do. Thank you for sharing and teaching your craft!

Excellent video, I have purchased the rope to make a basket, but the instructions were not as clear as yours and the variety of ways you show to finish off the basket is fantastic. Thank you for taking the time to show us in a very un-complicate way how to make these new craft ideas.
Just lovely. Just so artistic. I love how your finish avoids that ugly join that happens when the end is eased under the outside edge. Thank you for time and effort to teach me. Hoo roo from Queensland, Australia.
Thank you so much Patti, I really really enjoyed watching you create that amazing and awesome bowl. I really really love ❤️ the colour’s too, it’s a great idea. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
This was wonderful!! I've been wanting to try, but was unsure of the process. Thank you for sharing this... your instruction is easy to follow. Beautiful blue basket!!

I love your blue baskets so pretty.Where can I see the square basket being made.Ilove to watch you do the baskets.I made 2 round baskets. They got good.Love you
I think I made a basket with this exact same fabric! I added in a lime green batik for a couple rows, then ended like you did with a swirl, but added a lime button on top! Thanks.
Jus found your tutorial and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I thought it was excellent. If it wasn't late night I would be on my way to the fabric store. I make homemade candy and treats...I can see making the baskets filling them with treats for gifts.....thx u so much...❤
I absolutely love this basket, the blue fabric makes it. So cutting on the bias leaves no fraying and is lovely. Can you give rope and fabric amounts? You have got my creative juices going!!!
Excellent tutorial - u make it look easy - I am still convincing myself that the rope will fit under the sewing machine foot hehe - thanks again Rhonda
I’m sure it will fit under the presser foot. If your concerned than you start a practice bowl with the 7/32” rope which isn’t as thick as the 1/4” rope.
So beautiful, I am going to try this. I read your comment of your physical challenges, and I am so thankful that you do this for everyone. It must be a helpful therapy for you to share your gift with others. You have a rare peaceful teaching style that I am so happy to find. Thank you so much for what you do. I hope you are feeling well today and doing some happy crafting. I am also a musician and so loved the peaceful music you use in the background. Do you mind sharing who the musician is? Thank you again.
Hi Rhonda. Thanks for your lovely supportive comment. I’m not sure what you mean by my physical challenges. I don’t recall any comment on that. I always put the music info in my description box below the video. This song is Mysteries by Dan Leibowitz
you're a great instructor! I have no problems making round bowls, but whenever I make oval bowls *not wrapped with fabric* they look like a boat or a peanut, high on the ends and curved downward on the long sides. How can I prevent that from happening?
I prefer using quilting cottons and love the batik fabrics. The colours are so vibrant. The pattern in the fabric doesn’t matter as when you wrap the rope you won’t see it. Instead when you are choosing fabric just look at the colours and pick the ones you like.

you're a great instructor! I have no problems making round bowls, but whenever I make oval bowls *not wrapped with fabric* they look like a boat or a peanut, high on the ends and curved downward on the long sides. How can I prevent that from happening?
Just need to practice with keeping the angle the same on each round with the same tension. Practice makes perfect.
So pretty! I love this one.
Thanks Kathy! Glad you like it!
Great tutorial. Love the color
Beautiful 😊
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for the video. Did I miss the preferred width of bias strips to use for wrapping the cording?
Anywhere from 3/4” to 1” is great for the bias strips.
Would you please share suggestions for the fabric type and pattern please? Love the blues!
I prefer using quilting cottons and love the batik fabrics. The colours are so vibrant. The pattern in the fabric doesn’t matter as when you wrap the rope you won’t see it. Instead when you are choosing fabric just look at the colours and pick the ones you like.
