I always come back here,, to nourish my soul.
Helene's voice is incredibly expressive. You can't get enough of it.
Kuulin äänen
(I heard a voice)
Finnish
Kuulin äänen, kuulin, kuulin äänen kullaltani
Heläyksen, helä-heläyksen hertaltani
Luulin luona, luulin, luulin luona olleheni
Läsnä lämmitelle, läsnä lämmitelleheni
En mie luona, en mie, en mie luona ollutkaan
En mie läsnä, en mie, en mie läsnä lämmiteltkään
Olin viien, olin, olin viien viikon päässä
Kuuen kuukauen, kuuen kuukauen nenässä
Tuuli tuli, tuuli tuli, tuli mielellinen
Ahavainen, aha-ahavainen kielellinen
Sanan toisi, sanan, sanan toisi, toisen veisi
Omalleni, oma-omalleni kullalleni
Kullan lintu, kullan, kullan lintuselleheni
Tuota toivoin mie poloonen
Kun mie saisin minkä soisin
Saisin miehen mielellisen
Toveritsan toimellisen
Sylissäni syöttelisin
Käsissäni käyttelisin
Jo sain mitä halajin
Sain mie miehen mielellisen
Omaksens on ottanunna
Kullaksensa kutsununna
Kaunoksensa katsonunna
Valkiaksensa valinnu
Niin minä hänessä riipun
Sekä riipun jotta kiikun
Niinkun lintu lehtipuussa
Kuusen oksalla orava
Niinkun lintu lehtipuussa
Kuusen oksalla orava
❧
I heard a voice, I heard a voice of my darling
A jingle, jing-jingle from my love
I thought by, I thought by him I was
Beside him warming myself
I wasn't by, I wasn't, I wasn't by him after all
I wasn't, I wasn't beside him warming myself after all
I was five, I was five weeks away
Six months, at the reach of six months
Wind came, wind came, came favorited
Cold wind, cold wind speaking
Would bring a word, another would carry
To my own, to my own darling
Golden bird, golden, to golden bird of mine
That I did hope poor me
If I got what I wanted
I would get the man I favor
A companion vigorous
In my lap I would feed him
With my hands caress him
Now I have the one I favor
(He) has taken me for his own
Called me his darling
Called me his beauty
Seen me as his beauty
Chosen me as his light
So I cling on him
Both cling and swing
Like a bird in a leaf tree
Like a squirrel on a fir branch
Like a bird in a leaf tree
Like a squirrel on a fir branch

@@nourhanashraf4461 I don't think those are real words just singing u know. But I'm not sure I myself can't recognize any words from that
Woow, thats amazing!
Your Voices, just pure Art! 🔥
Zum Glück bin ich zufällig auf euch gestoßen
Quel bel ensemble! C'est magnifique.💗
beautifull chants
Beautiful.
Wow, this is VERY good!
One year on from my last comment: the singing has lost none of its appeal. Helene has a marvellous voice, a great charisma!
Kiitos 🇺🇸💞🇫🇮
Ich freue mich so darauf, dass ihr wieder einmal in Süddeutschland singt.
Beautiful!
incredible. fascinating voice.
Wow!!
wow!!
Beautiful piece! Excellent!!!!
Great performance, the pronunciation is spot on!
You can instantly, from first words, hear it's not a native Finnish speaker. Good for foreigner.
Or maybe it's in some Karelian dialect?
@@Aurinkohirvi Just standard Finnish with different personal pronoun variants (mie=minä, sie=sinä.. etc.). And their diphtong and vowel lenghts are quite foreign. Karelian is on the other hand a different language, having variously limited mutual intelligibility with Finnish.
@@Limppumies I lived many years in region that uses those pronomines (South-East Finland) and my dad speaks Karelian Isthmus dialect (born in Viipuri, although his parents are western Finns). But there are other Karelian dialects that are quite different, even all Karelian dialects speakers don't understand each others.
Yeah I figured that it's most like because she is not a native Finn.
Good!
LINDO.💙🖖
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Like an Anatolian song☺️
👏👏👏
Pretty good pronunciation. She sounds a bit off with the Ts and Ks but otherwise pretty spot on.
I wonder if the song is in some Karelian dialect, or is the lead vocalist a Finnish-Swedish?
I've heard the song in Finnish only, before. Karelian is Eastern Finnish dialect (or language) that has several (sub) dialects, some of which are pretty hard to understand for (Western) Finnish dialects speakers.
As a south karelian Finn (father from the Karelian Istmus) I understand the dialect. It is somewhere between the languages spoken in Estonia and southeastern Finland (southkarelian dialect). It would be interesting to know more exectly. Dialects especially on the russian side seem to be vanishing. Very sad!
I think the lead vocalist's mother tongue is German. I don't know what finnish dialect it is exactly, but as someone from western Finland I can definitely understand what they are singing, albeit it has some dialectal words and poetic structure.
First time Helene isn’t doing the low part
Is this a Custom made piece or is there a way to get sheet music to this version of the song 😊
