I agree tipping in food service is dumb. Just add the tip to the price. And it’s dumb how they get tipped for just giving you food but in retail you could help a regular customer with literally every little thing they ask help with and we are supposed to decline even the smallest of tips. Managers think the customers willing to give us money will find business elsewhere. And people act like our 5 dollars a month I normally get offered will pay ANY of my bills.

Double edge sword on tipping. Tipping culture has gotten way out of hand with it's demands for it, but also don't go out places if you can't afford to tip. Rule of thumb tip only if the service was actually great not just because it's "expected".
