As a child, i used to walk to her store for candy and astropops. Mom would send me for an onion or something she needwhile cooking. We lived down by the bridge. I loved Jennie. When she was killed, my mom picked me up from school. We had move to the other side of town and i didn't get to see Miss Jennie as often but Mom didn't want me to hear about it from someone else. I cried my heart out that day. I still think about her. She was a wonderfully sweet lady. I pray that her killer is found and justice can be served.

Born and raised in Susanville. Moved away at 22 years old and Im now 53. Mark 1:08 in the video... exact place where Jeannie Boghi (Bor-gey) was killed. The door to the left, which is closed up, was where the murder occurred. Our big ass sled hill was right across the street. Borghi's Market was amazing. As a cheese whore that I am, I remember going in there as a kid. The smell of strong/nasty cheese still reminds me of this Market to THIS DAY. As a retired police officer myself, there was STRONG RUMORS at the time regarding who committed the crime. Several years later, word started seeping out about one family in particular. The dad had STRONG ties to the law enforcement community, if that tells you anything. After the market closed, it was abandoned for many years. As kids, we were freaked out bad since it was the only murder we'd ever known in town. The little shop to the right turned into a pizza place and people started coming back. Best pizza EVER. After it closed 5 years later, some locals attempted to buy the recipe, but the family wouldn't sell their sauce or crust secrets. (No pizza will ever compare to this). 3:44- Roosevelt Pool. We ALL grew up in that pool, although looking back at it now, it was creepy AF. Just up the street and down the dirt road was Hobo Camp. Alot of weird stuff happened there too, right on the Susan River. We remember literally seeing hobo's sleeping by the river and getting onto the trains as they came in and out of town. The rail lines are now closed due to the lumber mills shutting down. Another super interesting place on Main Street is the St Francis Hotel. You could do an entire 1 hour video on the history there. As for uptown Susanville altogether, my older brother and I will be looking to do some MAJOR renovations to the entire place, including the high school and Elks Lodge. Stay tuned.
This is super interesting to me so I also have a suspect in mind so I've been in susanville since 2014 and in 2015 ish I moved over to a part of town with nothing but hobos and tweekers and this old man who fits the age of a 20 year old man at the time of the borghi murders at first he was super chill the homeowner (the mother whos names I won't reveal) lived there now a few years down the road he starts getting crazy trying to fight people (Mind you this is an old man) and flipping out

Jacob Wears The house that Joan Kennedy was killed in is still there. It sits back off the road a ways hidden in the trees just a little up from the swimming pool. I was here for that murder and afterwards a friend of mind moved into the house. It now has a fence around it but it didnt then.
This whole region is cursed but one area where I am near Payne's Creek. Ask Paradise about curses. Besides if u have so many Gulags you're bound to be cursed
