He wasnt almost a Leaf. Players use Tor to up their value. Look at Schenn, completely overpaid, just took a brieft stint in To. Edmondson, Booshkin. Give Tre credit, they are all overpaid.. somewhere else.
Don't forget. Many players (some have told me) don't want to deal with the Toronto hockey media. Dubbed "most annoying" in the entire league. For some players, they are a deal-breaker.
