    I have one of these and love it! Did a lot of research into the whole bricking issue. Skull & Co. video they made about this is spot on and put my mind at ease. It's permanently hooked up to my other TV and I've taken the smaller slide out version away with me; that feature is just incredible. Purely portable to be used anywhere. Great purchase :)

      It would be cool, although I feel like they wouldn't want to do it since the whole reason the original dock is as big and clunky as it is is because they want to cement the idea into the general public that the Nintendo switch is a home console that can become portable and not what it actually is which is a portable that is able to be docked to a television.

    • @CookiesNMilf
      @CookiesNMilf ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They don’t care about what’s easy and what people want. They say “this is all you get” and we all simp and buy it

    • @awsome14619

      Get the extreme rate dock. You have to take apart your dock but is pretty easy and makes your dock portable.

    For those wondering about needing to use the official charger, Skull and Co. Sells their own 45w charger WITHOUT any protocols like PPS or PD. I have my OG switch connected to their dock and their charger and it hasn't bricked in the years that I've had it.

    • @tydshiin5783
      @tydshiin5783 ปีที่แล้ว

      Idk about this dock, but when I tried to use my own GAN charger which is rated for 65w but adaptable to 45w for switch, it has an issue when you connect it to the official dock (The warning that it'll make before it bricks), so I'm kinda wary of trying to use alternative chargers

    I had the dock for over a year. I love it, but the plastic where the power goes has warped due to heat. I was a little skeptical about it. So i stopped using it in the event of bricking. So use at your own risk! I use their case but never again their dock.

    • @draconic5129
      @draconic5129 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All docks have that feature because it's not actually the dock that does it, it's the Nintendo switch itself that changes modes and overclocks itself when it receives the correct charging voltage and signal to switch.

    2:16 ironically many Anker Chargers as well as skull & Co's own charger are probably safer and more reliable than the original one made by Nintendo (I mean that would be expected the one that Nintendo makes literally comes with the switch no extra cost and an Anker charger was made specifically to be a high quality charger).
    Unfortunately most people don't know that and you have to tell them to only use the one that came with their switch otherwise they'll buy the first cheap crap they see on site without knowing the difference. People should have higher standards when it comes to chargers and power supplies because these things literally have the ability to destroy your stuff if they fail or don't work right.
