I do too! So full of good memories for someone that was there at one time that no one else cares about. That to me is sad that family members don’t take care of these awesome places!
My 95 years young momzie has been steadily giving away her possessions to the ppl she wants to have them ever since we started watching your channel❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What an incredible old farm house. And filled to the brim with the remnants of so many generations that called this their home. This time capsule so brings back memories of my youth. I’m 66 now but this is what happens as time marches on. Grew up in an older cape style home with our family of 8. As life moved on 1 by 1 Grandma, Auntie, Dad , all passed away and kids moved on with our lives it just left our beloved Momma behind. Things held together for a while but then Mom could no longer take care of her needs and moved to an assisted living facility. Slowly but surely the ravages of New England winters caught up with our old homestead. My brothers and I did what we could to salvage what we felt was important. Methodically room by room we gathered up as many remnants as we could. Though still left behind were so many items that we accumulate in life. We were able to sell the home and thankfully it was restored and sold to a young family who will now bring their own stories and memories to it. Thanks Kappy for recording the history of this beautiful home before sadly it’s erased for all time. Your passion and professionalism shows in all the places you visit. And your knowledge of the architecture for such a young man is exemplary. Hopefully some day you can find, buy and restore an older home of your dreams. Continued success with your channel and I look forward to each and every video you record. Though in closing I’ll say this one really struck a vein for me. God Bless and stay safe in your travels.
Looks a lot like my Grandparents house, which is gone now. Amazing how the people left $1000s in antiques behind. Glad they weren't stolen or vandalized, but hope they're saved. Wondering what happened to the downstairs fireplaces. Great work, Kappy-thanks!
Sheesh... I don't know what's more heartbreaking: theft/vandalism or abandoned/unclaimed... For me abandoned/unclaimed is more heart breaking. Maybe it's because I don't know the story of the person: were they only ones left alive in their family? Were they themselves abandoned and forgotten? Were they loved or known by anyone; family, friends, acquaintances, etc? Or did they have a full life, lived simply, and moments and memories were the most important to them? I know it's just stuff, it's not what life is about, but it'd be nice to see someone somewhere enjoy these items, put them use, etc. Seeing this one just broke my heart.😢 💔 Thank you for sharing.❤
Lots of salvageable antique furniture… even if you couldn’t save the house, someone should try to salvage those antique beds . Some of those art pieces remind me of my Nan’s house. It’s hard to look at places like these and not feel heartbroken. Places full of charm and history.
I have to respect all you guys who go through old abandoned houses and leave everything as is. In a house like this that will soon implode on itself, I would be tempted to take something that will be destroyed anyway. Kudos to you all!!!!
Oh my gosh Kappy…this house is stunning! The furniture is absolutely beautiful! It’s so sad though to see someone’s treasures even family picture’s simply left behind to rot away. Such a beautiful place. Thanks so much Kappy! Your videos are second to none and the homes you bring us are the best. Stay safe Kappy! Can’t wait for the next one. 😊
I did love the wedding picture on the floor in one of the bedrooms...looks just like the one of my Grandmother and Grandfather in late 19'teens/1920...
I appreciate you saying that!! Thank you very much! This one was such a time capsule just incredible! Was like an antique store lol! Thank you for watching and the kind words! :)
That was some high-class furniture back in it's day. All the Catholic icons and images everywhere. But, Oh, those old Books! A charming office room for the draftsman. Traces of educated, illuminated minds left behind. Nice tour and TY, Kappy.
What a beautiful home. It still just boggles my mind that they can leave so many beautiful things behind and memories. Thousands of dollars in antiques and glassware. I do get it though. I have a brother that wants to leave Moms “like she left it”. He just doesn’t get it. Let it rot and fall in. Thanks goodness there are more of us and we will take care of her house. It won’t fall in. Thanks for the peek and I wish I could buy this as is. It would not deteriorate any further and she would be beautiful again.
I feel so bad that all of the beautiful furnishings were left behind. I truly hope that the developer doesn't destroy the house with the contents inside. They're so valuable. People would love to buy and cherish them. So sad.
Are you able to find owners and maybe get a dealer or preservationists to rescue the amazing furnishings in these old abandoned homes before they fall in? I sure hope so. Would hate to see them left to decay. The ones in this house are rare and priceless. So much marble too. Thank you
Hey Kappy! What an amazing house. I still find it hard to believe all the treasures left inside these places to deteriorate. If no family left, who should intervene? I bet it was a great place to live. Sad to see it empty! Thanks for the look! Stay safe. ✌️
Sadly it was bought by developers at auction recently so it’s set for tear down now! So glad to have been able to document it before it’s all gone! Thank you for the kind words and watching!! :)
@@urbanexploringwithkappy1773 Developers are going to profit if they bring in an Antique Appraiser. I saw a couple of Oil Lamps I’d want, along with many other finds. Just the furnace would make Habitat for Humanity happy. Sure hope they harvest interior contents before household destruction. 😢
Absolutely agree. The furnishings are valuable. You can't even find pieces like these in the store these days. And if you did, we probably couldn't afford them.
What a great explore! Believe it or not the power to that place is still on. The clock radio display that was flashing indicates that it is plugged into a live power outlet, batteries only hold the backup memory they don’t power the digital display. Beautiful house and property, well done sir!
You have memorialized this grand old house even though the developers will raze it in the end. Thanks for the pauses you take, focusing on the details, there is so much to see and your unhurried manner lets us viewers do just that. And yes it is downright bizarre, the sheer amount of antiques. A mystery!
I cried, so very sad, a story, a life . I hope some one gathers up all of the items and saves them. So beautiful. Thanks Kappy, sometimes I wonder how you do it.
Having taken care of my mother in law for many many years at our farm, I feel the reality of the passage of time and the sweetness of lives lived together. Now we are here and it's our turn to grow old. This is not sad, really. Each life is so precious, each family unique. I love seeing and feeling the faith and deep love this family seemed to have.
Beautiful find Kappy! The furniture is mind-blowing; the hall mirrors, massive dry hutch, glass door curio cabinets & that beautiful bedroom set! All made out of real wood, with care. Oddly, it looks like someone just got out of bed that morning. But I can't get over the vintage photos & why some family member wouldn't claim them. They deserve a better home. And I agree with the others, there really is a "good vibe" inside. ❤
Wow. All those Victorian antiques! Those oil lamps alone are very valuable. The wood stove in the attic is a Victorian Parlour stove, very fancy and ornate as most furniture and decorations of the Victorian era are . I also find it profoundly sad to see family photos left behind. You always wonder if the family just died out and there isn't anyone left to claim the property. That roof is going to go soon and all that stuff will be lost. Thanks for the video.
What a great house! Absolutely love all the antiques!!!!! So sad just sitting there! The wallpaper in that one room was pretty and those clocks 😮… just gorgeous!! Thank you Kappy
Wow what a shame! 😢 theres some really cool art deco furniture still in this place! Especially the chairs downstairs with the flared seatbacks! 😳 you don't see those too often! The hat rack is cool too! 🥰
If i lived nearby i think i would try to find the developer and see if they would let you get all those antiques out. They could probably care less about them. That bedroom furniture was beautiful
I also like the fact you don't spin your camera fast while looking around. There's one gentleman on here who spins so fast with his I actually got like a motion sickness awesome job ❤
How tragically sad family just all disappeared and left it just as it was and no one noticed and no one cared. Dust to Dust and Dust Thou Art. Store up Your Treasures in Heaven because nothing else lasts. There must be a wonderful History to this family and they had good taste but now no one was left to care and the antique furniture is beautiful famly photos show who the owners were.
The feeling you get as you see this old couple’s things is just so sweet, along with the pictures…it makes this beautiful house seem so homey. Thank you Kappy for finding & sharing this. 💗
What a beautiful old house. It is a shame that an extended family member can't come and move all of that beautiful furniture out. A lot of it looks priceless. Wow. Enjoyed the video.
I respect that you can explore these places and leave everything intact. I personally see a million little things that have so much value and would be so tempted! The kitchen/sun porch looks like it was a cheerful place at one time. The whole house is a testament to 3 centuries based on its belongings; the massive headboard to the flat screen TV, and every decade between those times. Pretty cool! Thx for this one!
Where to start, the photos, the antiques, the furniture, the books? That bed is in pristine condition, and deserves to be saved! The books are amazing, it looks like both the husband and wife were 'hands on' people. The oil lamps, pitchers & basins, and glassware are amazing! I don't know how long you were in that house, but I would have spent hours in there! How sad that the house is going to slowly decay, and take everything along with it. That room with the jewelry boxes has been ransacked, it looks like they found what they were looking for. Thanks Kappy, see you next time.
This was amazing! So many things left behind. I wish the family would have took what the wanted and let some pickers come over. They sell this stuff to antique and flea markets. It would be better if people were enjoying these pieces. Thank you for documenting!
Kappy did you notice the power is still on? On the main floor I saw a radio or something flashing near a window . Incredible place. So many beautiful pieces of furniture, photographs...all will be in a heap when that roof fails. I wonder what the story is, everything left behind. So sad. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Yep. Not only the blinking radio, but also the wall clock. The second hand was moving and it had a cord running from the clock down the wall- it’s plugged in at minute 9:13. And, background noise was loud in the kitchen and loudest standing in front of the refrigerator. I think the frig was running. It got quiet when he left the kitchen. The power is still on in that house. Amazing. So somebody is still paying the bill. It happens sometimes and I always wonder *who* would continue to pay it? Beautiful old house♥️
Architectural salvage and antique shop people should really get in old places like this and carefully deconstruct and save all these old doors, stair spindles, railings, furniture, sinks etc for people who want to restore their old homes with period pieces. But it’s very sad to see.
Kappy OMGOSH!!! 🤯 The antiques left behind. The ceilings must have been lowered to the height of the 70s paneling. Must have been a family that has no living relatives. Did you notice the electricity running on the clock? Power??? Must be at least $100,000 worth of antiques left behind. Love LOVE this beautiful structure of a home. Thank you Kappy 🙏🙏🙏
You weren't kidding, this house is JAM-PACKED with stuff!! Some parts do look staged, tho, as you said. Small bedrooms. The bed swallowed up the upstairs bedroom. 😮 I loved their wedding pic, so cool. Pretty doorknobs, very ornate. My great-gran was Catholic and had a lot of the same religious pics and candles. Tfs Kappy. It was a warm, inviting house in its day. ❤
Beautiful old house I hate redevelopment so much of our history destroyed. I hope that they will try to save the antiques in there it would be a crime to have them bulldozed. Loved her kitchen. Anna In Ohio
Should have sold all the old stuff and repaired the roof so sad to see such a beautiful home fall to pieces. Thank you for sharing many blessings, and keep safe
I had such a warm sense of piece going through this house with you. These were good people that lived here. This was a home filled with joy and happiness but I also sense loneliness as the end of their lives. They owned everything and had no family.
What an amazing time capsule. Thank you so much again for risking life and limb so we can sit back and enjoy. Isn’t there a way to get ahold of someone to see if you could save some of those beautiful antiques? I always wonder the back story as to why no family comes to clean up these homes.
What a wonderful house; it felt like a lot of love was put into that home in it's glory days. A shame to see some of the furniture in still beautiful or repairable condition left to waste away. Thanks for sharing this gem with us.
Oh my gosh Kappy, an explorers dream explore. When you find a home like this Kappy, do you stay and look through things more? I couldn’t resist. Besides all the beautiful antique furniture, there were many pieces of antique glassware, photos and frames. This home made me feel sad, because nobody did do anything to even board up the windows. It did look like someone went through everything in that bedroom looking for the jewelry etc. The one hutch & curved curio cabinet were strangely empty compared to everything else. I wonder if those things were taken. Those 3 clocks were beautiful. I never saw one like the one in the middle. I’m definitely rewatching this to see what else I can see Kappy. Thanks. You are the #1 best explorer!
Enjoyed your thoughtful, low-key tour of this most interesting old house. Thank you. I wouldn't change anything about the way you film these houses, just wish you would add more barn tours. I find them just as fascinating and also like time-capsules.
I appreciate you saying that!! Thank you very much! If this place had a barn I promise i would’ve included it! I try typically to include outbuildings if I can find them! Thank you for watching!! :)
All of the books. I would have been there for hours. And, the magnificent intricate detail of the mantels. This home was a dream. How could family just leave it?
Looks like someone ransacked that bedroom. It's a shame. I guess there aren't any family left to take that gorgeous furniture. thanks for taking the time to show us.
I just bought that olive oil! Makes it seem so real that a family was here then poof GONE. Memories left behind it’s heartbreaking. My folks are older and I help w their needs w house n lots of property to maintain. Man it stinks when they get old 😞.
Sadly the house wasn't passed on to another family member..a real look into their lives. We can see at one time this house was a well cared for home. Thank you Kappy for another excellent video!!
There is some beautiful Victorian furniture in that house it is a shame the house is fallen into repair. This is the kind of house I would love to have. That fancy parlor stove in the attic is very nice also.
It is just heartbreaking to go through this house with you and get the feeling of sadness. This house was full of laughter and families at one time. I can't believe that this house has just been left with so many family pictures and furniture and family belongings. Like no one cared or wanted to bother with the house or all of it's contents.. Hopefully before they demolish the house they save all of the antiques and other things. At least that would still be part of the house and family's legacy that could be saved. Thanks Kappy for sharing this vedio and house with us before it is torn down.. Take care and stay safe out there !!
What a pretty home this was--it has a warm vibe in the video. Someone would pay a lot of money for the gorgeous furniture. I hope it's saved and the lamps and glassware too.
I can't imagine that they had any children, I didn't see any signs of childrens clothes, toys etc... that must be the only reason all of those pictures and beautiful antique furniture left inside. Wow, what a find Kappy! Thank you for this incredible explore! Stay safe, Peace, Kim ~
There are so many beautiful treasures, things, and antiques throughout that home that is awful to see just rotting away with each day passing. Time that is slipping, and I wish someone would save some of the items knowing the house can't be saved. It's very sad that it breaks my heart. This was one of the places that you have explored that has touched my heart. Thank you for sharing this video.😥
So much to love about this home from the front porch to the grand hutch- the kitchen -the room with the pink wall paper and drafting table to that lovely attic. I am glad there was no graffiti and that the fireplace mantels were stored away but really kinda wish someone would have “Re-homed” all those beautiful things so they could continue to be loved and not left to rot. Thanks Kappy for this lovely tour.
What a beautiful strange house. The calendar said 2014, but the house deterioration says older. Some rooms still looked pretty good. The clean dishes in the sideboard like they just washed them. And all the antiques. WHY would anyone leave these abandoned homes, donate them to a church, your favorite charity, the museum or even to your ex wife's barber's cousin, just don't let them to rot. I guess some people think they have all the time in the world. 😪🥺
This, house is beautiful such a crying shame its left to rot. Out in the country where most of us only dream of living. I love this place thank you for sharing kappy 👍from the uk.
I always find it heartbreaking that there are pictures, homemade quilts and family heirlooms just left frozen in time.
Me too😞....for sure.
I know how much those things mean to me... so sad.
Thank you Kappy for the tour So beautiful and the antiques were breath taking ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Blessings always! Stay safe

Beautiful furniture and great door handles. Love this place. Thank you for showing us around.
Beautiful old house I hate redevelopment so much of our history destroyed. I hope that they will try to save the antiques in there it would be a crime to have them bulldozed. Loved her kitchen. Anna In Ohio
This was my favorite of all your videos!
Holy crappppp!!!!! My heart hurts just seeing all those beautiful antiques getting ruined. What a shame.😢😢😢😢😢
Just watching you walk through these old homes makes me want to sneeze.
Thank you for your work.
This house 🏡 was beautiful was upon a time… still is and has gorgeous antiques ❤😢❤❤❤❤… really nice. Great job kappy 😊
Very nice things in this house, looks like the type of taste my grandparents had. The photos look like what they had.
What a wonderful house; it felt like a lot of love was put into that home in it's glory days. A shame to see some of the furniture in still beautiful or repairable condition left to waste away. Thanks for sharing this gem with us.
A lovely old house with beautiful antiques. I could see me sitting on that porch rocking away to the singing of those birds. Peaceful.
Such a beautiful house. It would have been gorgeous 100 yrs ago.
No doubt!! Wish I could’ve found a old picture of this one! Thanks for watching! :)
@@urbanexploringwithkappy1773 you're welcome💞
That I like the retro-style kitchen, it looks like the 90s but very messy and abandoned.
greetings from Chile. 🇨🇱👋🏼😊
God dang, what a lovely old home. It breaks my heart to see it in shambles. Good camera work and narration. 👍
I love these old southern farm houses I like your show welcome to Dixie
The house looks so peaceful , I would've loved to live there. When it was in its prime.
All of the books. I would have been there for hours. And, the magnificent intricate detail of the mantels. This home was a dream. How could family just leave it?
It just breaks my heart to see all the beautiful antiques rotting away!
Awesome house in its day. Lots of valuable antiques left behind
Looks like someone ransacked that bedroom. It's a shame. I guess there aren't any family left to take that gorgeous furniture. thanks for taking the time to show us.
Love that Eastlake furniture I own some also. ❤
I just bought that olive oil! Makes it seem so real that a family was here then poof GONE. Memories left behind it’s heartbreaking. My folks are older and I help w their needs w house n lots of property to maintain. Man it stinks when they get old 😞.
Love this farm home😊
That old woodstove was called a parlor stove. Ir was usually in the front parlors of old homes. ❤
Very early adding machine
Such a treasure in this house!!!
Looking at all the items left behind brings back many, many memories of the past, nice to see and reminisce how life once was ! 😊
Wow! There is so much stuff here that will just be thrown away, I hope someone comes and saves the old furniture, door knobs and old pictures!
So many treasures in the house.
I love it this place has some neat stuff in it
Great video. So sad seeing all the family photos and mementos! Thanks for documenting all of these forgotten places.
Wow wow! What a welcoming home this would have been. And there’s no graffiti 😊 It makes me wonder why the last owners left everything….sad.
Beautiful peaceful country there.
