I have a copy of Fred Stone's Cam Fella picture in my living room with a tail hair I collected from the Pacing Machine's pen when he visited Mohawk many, many years ago!

I remember hitting that exacto with ideal tanner in second and the exacta came back $42.00 if I remember correctly.

Wow, what a great horse..would have loved to see him match up against..Pure Steel the Aussie champ who bested Satinover (Its Fritz, type) (see video of match race)..or Popular Alm whos racing style was similar to Cam's, Also, he refused to lose.. I would wager Cam beats him in a mile but loses any other greater distance.

Pure Steel is a tub a shit, Cam Fella had one of the worse drivers of all time aboard and still trounced field after field. The owner of Pure Steel didn't want to embarrass Australia by sending a pig to compete with the very best horses in the world. P.S. it was my idea to name the streets in Stouffville Ontario Canada after Cam Fella and the owner.

Still trounced Its Fritz with one of the worse drivers of all time aboard Cam Fella that being Pat Crowe. By Greenwood and Mohawk standards Crowe was one of the worse at both race tracks.

Fun fact Cam fella is technically Canadian his owner was Canadian and my grandfather got the pleasure of working along side him and meeting him very many times he was the one that organized the mares that bred on him. And I also know the owner of cam fella and cam fella was sometimes at the farm here in Canada the farm is still here today outside of Stouffville Canada And the owner still lives there in Canada and I was supposed to visit him and he was not at his house. I’ve walked where he was kept many many times

Your dad was one the most entertaining race callers of all time. The voice of the Roosevelt International Trot for many years and then made Freehold Raceway a great place to be on a Saturday afternoon!
