The penultimate day of the 2024 Gran Canaria Gloria Windsurf World Cup witnessed the most hardcore racing conditions so far, many sailors alluded to the fact that it wasn’t necessarily the strength of the wind that caused them the most problems, but the confused water state, which consisted of a combination of death chop, wind swell, and waves on the inside which provided the ultimate test of mettle.

Congratulations to the winners and all the windsurfers who have taken part in the racing of slalom x. The level of all the sailors has been impressive in these conditions, they have all given their best in talent, physically and mentally. Controlling the board at that speed in these conditions requires incredible concentration, just a simple chop can ruin the race. Great sport, great competition and a great show.

I think the spectators are the winners. In my opinion this looks so much better dan foiling. I'm sorry for the foilers but the vin is still the best for me.
