    Why buy a KTM where you have to pay extra to unlock the tech features and then you don't know if the camshafts are going to prematurely wear out. To many issues for a rather expensive manufacturer. The question no one has answered yet is if CF Moto engines are going to have the same camshaft issues as KTM since CF Moto has been making many of the KTM's line up for 10 years.

    The real money making segment of the world motorcycle biz is never about "ready to race" bikes. Sales volume and revenue of KTM is less than 1% of the world motorcycle market. Giants like Honda sell "mass market" bikes in 3rd world countries with different models catering to specific world markets. The big volume Sales come from scooters, underbone bikes, air-cooled ethanol-ideal bikes etc. The "ready to race" bikes of KTM with their signature high compression race engines are indeed Niche market products that do not have the volume sales, revenue and profit to sustain the biz and survive for the long term. KTM have to raise their prices with Austrian made bikes while customers don't want to pay the premium for Austrian branded Indian-made or China-made bikes. Communist China made bikes are still struggling to sell as dealer parts and service network for their "throw away junk" are non-existent. You get what you pay for. KTM if bought by a Communist-China investor or even an India investor will be ruined.

      KTM has been manufacturing several models in China for a couple of years, at the CFMOTO factory..... These models are the KTM Adventure 890 and Duke 890!!!

The Chinese are perfectly able to make good bikes, a thing of not very high technology, as they are able of high tech as 400 kmh trains, rockets, spatiel station, probes to the dark side of the moon and other little things.

    There is an enormous amount of debt, maybe 3 billions euros, that's too much for any company.
    CFMoto has met the goal of the joints venture with KTM and has now a joint venture with Yamaha. There are not interested to buy debts, as they have already that they wanted.
    Bajaj Auto is another thing, they own already 49% of KTM after rescuing KTM around ten years ago, I bet that they are now cautious about Pierer management. The simplest way for Bajaj is accept the loss of the 49% share, leave Pierer to deal with the Austrian banks, the providers (Bajaj is among the providers because of the 390) and the employees. That will go almost surely to the liquidation, as the amount of debts is monstrous. And after buy cheaply to the liquidator the items that interest them. That will be far cheaper for Bajaj.
