I hope the musicians on stage know just how important this song is to some people. To some who couldn’t afford many new games, this was a childhood soundtrack.
YOU ALWAYS KNOW THE SH*T IS ABOUT TO GET REAL when you start hearing the DUN DUN DUN, DUN DUN... DUN DUN DUN, DUN DUN, Every motherf*cker in the room is like, "Aww sh*t here is comes! Here is comes!" then boom, the beats drop and you literally want to dance your heart out while having memories of that arcade machine taking ALL your quarters.
Only a cool place like Japan would pay respect and perform a track like this with a fantastic band. I love you Japan from longsight Manchester England Xxxxx
I remember when I was a little kid, my family used to go to the beach on our summer vacations. Near the shore, there was an ice-cream shop with some arcades. I remember spending quite some time there when we were going back. It was my first contact with Outrun. The arcade cabinet for it was next to the entrance, and this music (and all the others, especially "Passing Breeze") is etched in my memories. Listening to this makes me reminisce about happy times with my family.
@@ankokunokayoubi Not exactly. The Sega Genesis used the Yamaha YM 2610. The DX7 used YM 21280 operator chip and YM 21290 envelope generator. In some of Sega’s arcade machines, they used a Yamaha YM-2151, which was also used in Capcom’s CPS-1 and used in Williams pinball machines prior to using DCS.
look, i'm as much of a fan of this game as anyone else, but forza is just better lol. but outrun really did ignite a dream back then. i really wanted to do outrun in real life.
I came here after listening to Mr. Matsuoka's music for the first time, and it seems as if the music of Out Run and his music have some kind of mutual influence on each other? Genius!
The best music in the nineties

It's literally the original composer's band :)
SST = Sega Sound Team

When I saw red testarossa for the first time few years ago, this song was playing inside my head
This song is one of the best in JAPAN.
Show!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Quem viveu os anos 80 e 90 sabe como muita coisa foi boa!
Epic.. love it, brings back so many great teenage memories
My Ferrari loves this tune
So cool!
It reminds me my high-school life.
Four Yamaha DX7s were used. The Yamaha DX7 was used in several songs in the 80s.
its sound chip is similar to the Sega Genesis

@@akira808state4 - Correct; the YM-2151 was to some extent a cut-down DX7 on a chip.
also may be a moot point because it seems like the dx7s are being used as midi controllers
Absolutely fucking beautiful
i love the middle beat on magical sound shower! 🔥
We need a new outrun
Best of the best.
Very Nice
Thanks for playing! Nice!
I love
Move over Forza, move over gran turismo. Outrun is the original and best!!!
hey y test drive tambien ;)

but outrun really did ignite a dream back then. i really wanted to do outrun in real life.
In terms of the music then yes outrun definitely reigns supreme
Outrun is the best classic "Arcade Racer"! Forza may be better, but it's 30 years newer and owes itself to the OG racing games.
@@sinih8r forza horizon is the grandgrand son of outrun😜
My main critique is they should use a steel pan drum to keep the Caribbean flavor of the music
We so much need a new Outrun game with new Ferrari models
out ..... RUN
Ok realised they used a Roland D50 for piano. Can see it on the full vhs elsewhere on youtube.
Well done 🎉
eu tenho um Puma GTS conversível vermelho, eu adoro ouvir as músicas do Outrun viajando nele, dá até uma sensação diferente
shout-out to Carl
where is the steel drum that appear in the game?
I've been looking for a version where there's a long intro... Suddenly it's missing from TH-cam.
If anyone has a link, I'd deeply appreciate it.
Well, I found it on SoundCloud: soundcloud.com/ultimategamerpro/magical-sound-shower-live-in-1989-out-run-ost
