The Best Chapter In All of Fire Emblem

My thoughts on the best chapter in all of Fire Emblem. Fire Emblem Awakening was one of my favorite games back in the day, and I just wanted to make a video expressing my appreciation for one of its best chapters, and a contender for the best chapter in the entire series as well. Hope you enjoy!

When I first finished awakening, I found this to be my favorite chapter and to this day, I still consider it the best chapter in all of FE (dethroning Part 2 of Radiant Dawn). The feelings of loss, The music that mind you plays through each battle, and then to top it all off, the enemy commander showing that her words did reach someone, but he has no choice but to fight. While you have Chrom ready to kill everyone over his sister
And the saddest part is Mustapha kept his word. I forget where its officially stated, but if not it alludes that he did find Olivia, but he spared her. So, they could have went without fighting and he'd have done his best

I just knew that chapter 10 would be the focus of this video. Don't Speak Her Name is one of the most memorable songs from the modern FE games' OST, and Mustafa is memorable enough to be one of the only 1-off "antagonist" in Feh, meaning he left enough of an impact on the player base to get voted in.

That chapter in Awakening alongside Chapter 5, and especially the spoiler ending, of Genealogy(FE4) are high points of the series for me.
As well as the "Darling. . . " scene in Sacred Stones where it is implied what the main villain did to the wife of that person.

I’m playing Awakening on Lunatic now cause I couldn’t get enough but…damn. Lunatic mode is kinda too much lol

@@thatguybis1997 That makes me feel better lol. I'm absolutely not among the best FE players out there, but I've at least played most of them. But I've been shamelessly overleveling my characters in Awakening Lunatic to compensate for my lack of skill.

Now that I'v watched the whole video, wow this sounds insane, I miss rpg's having moments like this where you really start to think about what your doing whether its right or wrong. Great video bro!

One map design I like, sadly it doesn't have the narrative backing, is chap 10 endgame in radiant dawn. I like the 3d design of fighting up through the castle floors

My favorite was in Path of Radiancez, like chapter 28, the one where you climb up a mountain. Because no matter what difficulty I've been on, Ike can solo it

Funny how opinions differ. This chapter for me cemented Awakening as a flat story, as the buildup is shallower than the kiddy pool and the one off boss doesn't pull the Camus trope of all that well either. I find it one of the worst, most aggravating maps in the series as it does everything wrong, narratively and through map design.
But that's just an opinion and I am glad others do find positives in the things I dislike.
