    That is a really cool looking tank I actually have One too just bought it and it is truly amazing the fine detail and just all the sound effects.

    • @Shrewface1001
      @Shrewface1001  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a lot of detail, I found it very easy and cheap to paint the accessories (shovels, pick axe etc.) as well as bits on the tank (gun barrel) and it makes it look sooo much better.

    Wow... 😲
    Cool toy man...
    Wakes up the child inside me.
    I tell u what: Don't worry about the tracks coming off the sprockets (cog). This is a real-world problem for the real tanks as well.

  • @williamworth2746
    @williamworth2746 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Even though it is a toy tank I would not play in the mud and sand with it as it will wear the gearing down and cause problems

    • @Shrewface1001
      @Shrewface1001  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Most people wouldn't - which is why I made the video - what I wouldn't do is make a video of it driving around my house - everyone else does that. I'm quite happy and prepaerd to put in the extra care and maintenance work. If you're not prepared to do this then don't drive them offroad. And FYI the gearing/gearboxes are cheap and crap (the whole tank is really) - driving it on ANY surface will wear them out, they don't last that long anyway. It would be naive to think you can treat them like this without any problems if you're not going to put some extra effort into looking after it.

    Hi Marcus have you done any thing to water proof the battery compartment underneath
    i have just a second hand one runs great two problems i have is m/gun light is static
    B/Bs wont fire of T/X will of out side power source would you happen to have a wiring
    diagram please

    • @Shrewface1001
      @Shrewface1001  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be the main 'multifunction unit' in the middle. Here is a link with diagram of what each bit does wires will come from those bits to the parts that should work (turret and gun). Open up the tank check the connections with multimeter if you have one. Sorry Im not the best at diagnosing problems! www.ozarmour.com.au/store/electrical-stuff/heng-long-taigen/heng-long-rx18-multifunction-unit-with-receiver-bd.html

    • @Shrewface1001
      @Shrewface1001  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kamalrex1 thanks. Yes you can buy a remote seperately, but will also need to modify the reciever in the tank to match the remote. The remote should come with everything you need (including recirver for the tank)

    is there no provision for realistic speed control? i see harsh and unrealistic jearkiness, nothing slow or smooth at all

    • @Shrewface1001
      @Shrewface1001  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There probably is, I don't know. To be honest if you want something that moves and behaves more realistically you would be better off spending (a lot) more, and get a Tamiya or a Mato version (these are very realisitic, sound and movement) althought not sure Mato does a Bulldog (they definatly do the Tiger 1)

      There are alot of opgrade for henlong tanks like traks, suspension, speaker, roadwhell, ect. The tank wit more asccesorie are the m1 abrams, challenger 2, leopar 2a4, t90, sherman tank, tiger 1 and 2 and the panzer tank. Athout the opgrades are not cheap for example a good track cost around 200

    • @MusicFurler
      @MusicFurler 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tank does have proportional drive but its more skill based the turning can be jerky but again if you reduce the speed a bit it can act as a realistic tank. I have the same tank but would not drive it like this I do not want to kill it.

    Just got T90 battle tank from hedge long metal version that tank tracks don't have your kind of traction on the track itself?.. with that said I'm really not too happy with it that receiver and the ESC is cheap along with the controller I need a $400 battle-tank you should have some good quality ESC and some brushless motors in it I'm not really too happy but it was a gift to my sexy butt..lol all metal version T90 1/16, does it really have to be so loud I think the sound is stupid, just in general the sound is stupid, how you want to listen to my tank and it has sounds on it dot-dot. With that said the battery it came with lipo but there's no balancer on it it's a two cell is it possible for any feedback bro

      So sorry for the delayed reply, if this is any use. I think if your after a $400 tank you should look for another make lol, I think Heng Long are probably one of the cheapest crappest you can get. Tamiya make far more realistic models, that move more smoothley and slowly, have those things your on about (I think) and are generally far more realistic. Also I think each tank has the tread pattern that the actual tank in real life has on the tracks hence why they are all different, some are more effective than others (I also have a Tiger 1, which seems far more grippy than Bulldog) Hope this helps if it is at all still relevant
