2020 Southern Nationals - A Rough Ride To The Podium (Updated)

- Follow along with JConcepts Team Drivers Ryan Maifield, Spencer Rivkin, Dakotah Phend and Jackson Brunson as they battle their way through an amazing yet rough track at the 2020 Southern Nationals in West Monroe Louisiana.
The JConcepts Team made the trip to West Monroe to compete in the 2020 Southern Nationals This was the first year RaceTime Entertainment put on this particular event as it was previously hosted by a different organization. As always, Dave Leikam and his crew did not disappoint! The track layout was masterminded by Bobby Moore and his RC Track Masters team. The track featured a drop down that was essentially a dirt wall into a 180 turn through a giant cross over section. The track also featured a 6 pack and a double where drivers could catch some big air.
For tires this weekend we experimented with a few options. The team started with green Reflexes and went up to the blue compound later on in seeding. As the weekend progressed they experimented with harder compounds. Ultimately, Maifield decided to use the Stalkers in the mains in the A2 compound while Phend used the Reflexes. The track conditions were relatively dry, a little dusty, but also had a nice groove. As the weekend progressed the track did become bumpy and develop ruts. It was important for drivers to keep the same lines every lap and know their personal limits as the track changed.
Qualifying went off without a hitch and Ryan Maifield went 9 for 9 TQ’ing all the pro heats!

Great compilation. I really enjoyed seen all you professionals race in person. It was a humbling experience for me and my daughter who also races. After seen y’all’s demeanor in person I will definitely keep using JConcepts products. Jason, you have a great crew. Keep up the great work. GOD BLESS

Well I am finally getting into 17.5 racing and will be filming everything and this is going to be my main track because its the best one around and I live in Afton Iowa lol So will definitely help to get content out!!

That's a good ideal Spencer. It is always the out side of the tire that iv had come un done. It's never the inside it's to bad you can't do that trick on the inside beed as well. When you flip the tire inside out then slide it on the rim then glue it to the rail good all the way around. Then when you glue the out side it's even and there is no over hang.

Why in the world does the setup need to make a tone, every single time a car goes past the start/finish line?
How come your always talking to the same guys? There are other pro drivers there too
He really mostly focuses on the drivers that he sponsors with jconcepts. Its not like the guy from 5150 Productions that talks to most everyone even though hes sponsored by proline.

Ive never been a fan of the Jconcepts products. The quality of the bodyshells in particular, is poor. The variation in thickness when cutting out liquid mask has been a problem for years. Penguin shells, proline, kit shells fair better.

Why are R/C pros so often overweight?
That's an awful assessment of people in general. There are a whole bunch of fat athletes in sports in general. You know what though? Their weight doesn't really affect their skills. Horrible assessment in my opinion. Do you think your car will go fasterr f you have a cut bod??? Dont think so!!! Keep it real and just enjoy what these guys invest into passion.
