I read the manga so I knew what was coming, but the anime really did me dirty when they added the surprise scene of Narancia's plane/bird flying and being seen by Fugo. They managed to make all deaths way more emotional. 11/10, cried like a bitch
It’s because he was. Doppio did nothing wrong all of his life. Diavolo was there to do everything wrong. Doppio is not the villain, just a pawn, in the kings court
Polnareff's requiem ability is sad when you think about it... Most of his life was filled with tragedy. His parents were gone since he was young. His sister was defiled and killed. He was alone for years. He was manipulated by Dio. He finally met the crusaders, but became the fall man, the butt of the jokes. He lost Avdol, Iggy, and Kakyoin. He parted ways with Jotaro and Joseph. And he nearly died in Italy. He wanted it to end. He wanted to sleep, he needed rest. He wanted his life to change. He wanted to swap lives with someone much happier.... Hence, Silver Chariot Requiem.
Shigechi was greedy, and a brat, but he was good of heart. He died for his mother and father, hoping to keep them from harm in the end, but he was too late, Killer Queen got there first. He stopped Yoshikage Kira that day, in his final efforts with harvest. His sacrifice was worthy, no matter how much of a pain in the ass he was.
Message To A Friend is the saddest here. It creates an aura of fear, the terror that Kakyoin feels upon the realization that his death may have been for naught. He dies in doubt, of not only his own survival, but the lives of everybody else.
What makes his death the saddest in Part 3 is that the souls of Avdol and Iggy at least had a final moment with Polnareff. But Kakyoin didn't have that, he died without knowing if Joseph is going to realize the meaning of his message and if his friends are going to survive.

There's something about Shigechi's last words. It's not a grandiose last speech given to his companions, or a final defiance in face of the enemy. It's a mere child, terrified of what could befall the only people who ever loved him.

Pretty sure Kakyoin is the one who really defeated DIO. I mean think about. He was the one who found out about DIO's secret, and gave the message. If he hadn't told Joseph, (Or sent the message), Jotaro would've never been able to stop time, and DIO would've clapped them like nothing. Edit: Thanks for 169 likes
Actually Jotaro was able to stop time, he didn't really know how to control it yet. If you observe closely you can see moments of speed faster than light that is in no way Star Platinum's speed. But yeah I get your point Kakyoin was the real hero. Just so sad isn't it?
At the end of Iggy's/Avdol's death theme, you can hear a clock's sound, an allusion to The World. It's there to remind us that even tho two of the Crusaders died, there is still a greater threat to face.

Someone i once met died today. Leaving behind a mother and two young sons barely in early adulthood. I cannot bear the thought of her cooking alone, her going to sleep each night alone, with two sons so far away and without any warmth. 28:19 Humans are so frigile, they break so easily, so many other creatures do. I can only ask myself why this is the way it is. I feel pain. Not for his death, but for her and her sons. The look on their faces, the single tear rolling down on their cheek at the shock of the news. Her heart yelling in so many tones enough to be heard across the world but nobody being able to listen. Live healthy, do not chase fun for the sake of fun. Nothing is boring, what is boring is you. Change that. Make it count and never hold back from anything because life is so fragile and unprotected, it can wither so easily. Always tell the ones you know how much you love them, how many emotions there are inside of you no matter if they are bad or not. Tell them, because tomorrow might never come for them. or for you. I am listening to this video because i want it to be a Requiem of peace for the one that was lost to the mystery of life. If there is a soul, may these songs guide you to the peace unknown. I'm watching part 3 with my 6 year old brother rn and his favorite character is kakyoin and he loves dogs so he's definitely gonna love Iggy and I can't imagine how he'll react (b4 y'all say "omg that's awful u can't let him see them die" he didn't even react to Jonathan or Caesar's death at all, he'll probably be fine)
No Caesars death was really sad because he for all his life blamed Jojo for taking zepelli's life and when he gets hit by the divine sandstorm and he reminds us of the fact that he is a zepelli we know all hope is lost for him. It feels like his death only proved his contempt for Jojo, that every Zeppeli dies everytime they advance the jojo of that part.

Okay but Shigechi's death is still something that made me unbelievably sad. In reality he went out trying to protect those he loved most, and used his literal last energy to try and tell the others who did this to him (which mind you proved to be the vital clue to finally figuring out who Kira was). A very sad death, and the theme reflects it. Just a kid.

But when they saw you where damaged. Heart broken. They just walked. You do miss be alive sometimes. This isint a story about how every story have happy endings. It’s about how you sometimes sacrifice yourself too save others. And people who are too nice always have too die. If you where in a garden. Witch one would you choose? The pretty ones right? Everyone does it. That’s with people too. The beautiful ones die because death likes how they look and the ugly ones have too be treated like an incouree raging animal who dies drugs and bites the ballsack out of someone tear their face up and shove it in a trash can pick up the body’s and kill people. You are not different. You are just a normal being. Everyone is beautiful. No matter what you say. Your family and friends will always remember. But death always chooses the one who had a good time. And you can lose someone who you love. The path is the greatest thing but what path is it? No one knows life is a unknown path. And anything can happen wether you can fall of a cliff and break your spine or break your skull because of an accident or because of people. You will always have a bad ending. It’s like a never ending loop people give birth the boy or girl grows up you die who gave them life they grow up and get kids and so goes the bloodline but. You never know. Life sometimes comes at random like a bullet. You never know what people will think of you. The voice of love is always low. But is never silent. Phantom blood is such a masterpiece the ost is amazing the deaths are sad you get attached to literally every character and they end up dying the ost is just amazing and so are the characters it's a sad tale but it's so sad that most jojo fans barley talk about it only the other parts Rip Jonathan joestar I will forever remember you

Message To A Friend is the saddest here.
It creates an aura of fear, the terror that Kakyoin feels upon the realization that his death may have been for naught. He dies in doubt, of not only his own survival, but the lives of everybody else.
His parents doesnt even know where he is which make it even more sadder
What makes his death the saddest in Part 3 is that the souls of Avdol and Iggy at least had a final moment with Polnareff. But Kakyoin didn't have that, he died without knowing if Joseph is going to realize the meaning of his message and if his friends are going to survive.

Pretty sure Kakyoin is the one who really defeated DIO. I mean think about. He was the one who found out about DIO's secret, and gave the message. Actually Jotaro was able to stop time, he didn't really know how to control it yet. If you observe closely you can see moments of speed faster than light that is in no way Star Platinum's speed. But yeah I get your point Kakyoin was the real hero. Just so sad isn't it?

I'm watching part 3 with my 6 year old brother rn and his favorite character is kakyoin and he loves dogs so he's definitely gonna love Iggy and I can't imagine how he'll react (b4 y'all say "omg that's awful u can't let him see them die" he didn't even react to Jonathan or Caesar's death at all, he'll probably be fine)

Wamuu has a sadder death than Caesar yet was unfairly ignored even though Never Be Mine played in his death too
I didn't cry at Caesar's death yet I nearly blew up during Wamuu's death.
No Caesars death was really sad because he for all his life blamed Jojo for taking zepelli's life and when he gets hit by the divine sandstorm and he reminds us of the fact that he is a zepelli we know all hope is lost for him.
It feels like his death only proved his contempt for Jojo, that every Zeppeli dies everytime they advance the jojo of that part.

Okay but Shigechi's death is still something that made me unbelievably sad. In reality he went out trying to protect those he loved most, and used his literal last energy to try and tell the others who did this to him (which mind you proved to be the vital clue to finally figuring out who Kira was).
A very sad death, and the theme reflects it. Just a kid.

You pull the lever and your life shines before you’re eyes and you die. As you go up or down. You can look and see how some people who knew you. Cared about you. Misses you. But when they saw you where damaged. Heart broken. They just walked. You do miss be alive sometimes. This isint a story about how every story have happy endings. It’s about how you sometimes sacrifice yourself too save others. And people who are too nice always have too die. If you where in a garden. Witch one would you choose? The pretty ones right? Everyone does it. That’s with people too. The beautiful ones die because death likes how they look and the ugly ones have too be treated like an incouree raging animal who dies drugs and bites the ballsack out of someone tear their face up and shove it in a trash can pick up the body’s and kill people. You are not different. You are just a normal being. Everyone is beautiful. No matter what you say. Your family and friends will always remember. But death always chooses the one who had a good time. And you can lose someone who you love. The path is the greatest thing but what path is it? No one knows life is a unknown path. And anything can happen wether you can fall of a cliff and break your spine or break your skull because of an accident or because of people. You will always have a bad ending. It’s like a never ending loop people give birth the boy or girl grows up you die who gave them life they grow up and get kids and so goes the bloodline but. You never know. Life sometimes comes at random like a bullet. You never know what people will think of you. The voice of love is always low. But is never silent.
