December is my first month signing up, and I picked Bloodguard and Beautiful Ugly. I have listened to the audiobook of Dinner for Vampires, it's VERY interesting... highly advise.. 💕💕
I ended up choosing the Road of Bones. Almost got The Teller of Fortunes but I’m waiting on a special edition and I’m very intrigued by Dinner For Vampires but prefer memoirs on audio so I’ll get that from Libby.
I’m new to BOTM, and this was only my third month, so I feel very validated now in my thoughts that it was a weird month for them and in my disappointment that there was no thriller option. So, I would have skipped, but I wanted to get my third box so I could graduate levels so that next month I could do more add-ons and buy the extra things, and be able to vote on BOTY, etc. So, I picked the Fortune Teller one because of the cat 😻, even though I’m not normally a fantasy reader, and I added-on two Abby Jimenez books because I want to branch out and start reading some romance from her and also Emily Henry. 😊. Now that I will have graduated levels, I’ll feel ok to skip in the future if I’m truly not interested.
I picked the cozy fantasy and 3 more books that were on my radar as my birthday gift. All the colors of the dark The lost story Starling house Wayward I was sad to see no mystery/thrillers released but even the ones I ordered for work were not as “popular” in the genre, so it makes sense. And also, I’m into my 3rd thriller for the month and I’m getting aggravated by the hiding in the synopsis, the last one I read was a police procedural, and nowhere in the synopsis suggested that, so I finished it, but I’m annoyed at the tactic, and won’t read from that author again. Just tell Me the truth, a police procedural is easy to hint in the synopsis 😂😂 So I got heavy on other genres, and ordered what sounded like fun to read. I also like that you can pick the staff favorites as your book of the month, I almost ordered Infinite country by Patricia Engle, it’s an immigrant family story, so it always turns into an emotional mess, but I love to read books written by Hispanic/latin authors shedding some light on the hardest choices, some people have to make, like in this book. I’m not emotionally ready, but next month for sure ❤️ 💕💗💞
I picked Where The Library Hides, Dinner for Vampires and Bloodguard. I would have added The Teller of Small Fortunes but I already pre-ordered it from Barnes and Noble. Love these videos!
I skipped this month as well. I almost chose The Teller of Small Fortunes since I do enjoy cozy fantasy but I didn't really want the BOTM edition. I just ordered the paperback instead.
I struggled with what to do because I’m a mystery/thriller girlie. I’d already read all the thriller selections they offered as alternative member favs. I branched out and got The Road of Bones because I like quests, The Courting of Bristol Keats because it sounded like it had a mysterious element to the plot, A Sorceress Comes to Call because I’d heard good reviews and it sounded like it may have a thriller element in the plot, Is She Really Going Out With Him that I would’ve gotten anyway because I like rom-coms, Pictures of You because I read Beach Read in October and loved it so I thought a book with deeper plot would be good for me to try. I almost skipped but now I’m glad I branched out and tried some different content. I’ll see how it goes lol 😂
I chose The Road of Bones since it’s been on my wish list for a while and I wanted to check it out. I also added on Bloodguard which I desperately wanted to get anyway.
I’ve been a subscriber of BOTM for years and this is the first month I have ever skipped. I was so disappointed. I want The Road of Bones but definitely not in a BOTM edition. I like my fantasy series to match. I’m glad I’m not alone in skipping!
I skipped this month too 😕 which was kind of a bummer because there were some add-ons that I wanted but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Hopefully next month will have more interesting choices
I also skip this month after seeing that there were no thrillers. I see I'm not alone here
I chose Road Of Bones. So excited! I love your BOTM videos!
Thank you!. ☺️

I got The Teller of Small Fortunes! I know it's not for everyone but i'm looking forward to a slower, sweeter fantasy.
I hope you end up enjoying it!!
Second month where I have passed. Was intrigued by P.S. I Hate You but will probably see if I can get it from my library if I’m still interested.
Yeah, I was intrigued too but not enough to make it my BoTM.
I did end up getting PS I Hate You and then A Winter in New York backlist for winter!
A Winter in New York was cute!
@@RescuesandReads I read Winter in New York last winter. It was very good.

I almost skipped this month too but I chose Dinner For Vampires. I never watched One Tree Hill but it sounded intriguing so I’m gonna give it a try.
I picked up Road of Bones just to get Where the Library Hides
I actually passed this month. None of them really caught my interest :) But I always appreciate your rundown of the selections!!!
I chose PS: I hate You, Where The Library Hides and a backlist title Taste Makers.
I chose Road of Bones to earn BFF status in Dec. Want those perks 📚🙂
Woot! BFF status!!
I didn't like any main picks or addons but i ordered because i wanted some older books
I picked the cozy fantasy and 3 more books that were on my radar as my birthday gift.
All the colors of the dark
The lost story
Starling house
Wayward

Starling House and Weyward are SO good. Easily two of my favorites of 2023.
I picked Where The Library Hides, Dinner for Vampires and Bloodguard. I would have added The Teller of Small Fortunes but I already pre-ordered it from Barnes and Noble. Love these videos!
@deacongirls4227 I picked Dinner for Vampires, too!
@ I hope we both like it!
Recently, saw Salem's Lot 79 and new Salem's Lot 2024.
Seen any of them?
I skipped this month as well. I almost chose The Teller of Small Fortunes since I do enjoy cozy fantasy but I didn't really want the BOTM edition. I just ordered the paperback instead.
I decided to give Dirty Diana a try.
Ooh. Let me know what you think!!
I skipped this month as well. I’m interested in the nonfiction, but decided I’d rather skip the month and add later if I really want it.

I got The Teller of Small Fortunes and but am thinking of canceling my subscription. 😢 Love the predictions and the pick or pass videos. 😊🌸💕
I also skipped this month. Hopefully December will have some selections that will be more geared toward my interests.
💓💓💓💓
I passed this month. It's not that I wouldn't read any of them, but I didn't want to pay and have any of them if that makes sense.
Oh yeah it totally makes sense. That's how I felt about PS I Hate You and the Emma Gray book
I also skipped this month which is fine. I have plenty of other Botm books to catch up on.
I went with Teller of Small Fortunes, nothing else sounded good at all.
❤
I’ve been a subscriber of BOTM for years and this is the first month I have ever skipped. I was so disappointed. I want The Road of Bones but definitely not in a BOTM edition. I like my fantasy series to match. I’m glad I’m not alone in skipping!
Yeah I have been a subscriber since 2018 and I can probably count on one hand the number of skips I have had. This month was definitely not their best
I passed for the first time. Nothing grabbed me.
I skipped this month too 😕 which was kind of a bummer because there were some add-ons that I wanted but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Hopefully next month will have more interesting choices
💖💕
Thank you for watching!!
I skipped this month I almost got the teller of small fortune but decided not to
I passed this month. I usually order between four and five. None of these peaked my interest. Too heavy on fantasy..
Yeah I was really surprised how much Fantasy there was. It felt like a weird month of selections
👀
Thanks for watching!
I skipped this month. Dsappointed that there were no mystery/thrillers this month.
Same!! That was so unusual!
I skipped this month. None of them sounded interesting to me.
