hmm, mesa amp (doesn't sound like recto to me, most definitely the mark series) and cab (could be oversized because it's more popular with 6 strings due to it's added low end) possibly miked with SM57 with usual position (oftentimes edge of the dust cap). I don't think it uses any pre boost because Mesa Mark oftentimes don't need it as long as you dial in the EQ correctly due to them being routed before the preamp.
@Deconstruction 33 I always thought they used the cobra I forgot they used a old jtm45 as well to add to the attack. Yeah that’s right wasn’t it a sans amp?
@Deconstruction 33 yeah I agree I think the jtm45 was just to give more clarity on the attack of the notes. Possible badlander could be the fact as well willy is using fishman pickups now they are super clear and modern and active, compared to the distortion that is super fizzy and ceramic or a jb with the drill frequency haha.
